Gears of War Ultimate Edition PC DirectX 12 Confirmed

Just try play this games, it is smooth to me with everything maximum.

The problem I face is limit frame is broken, if on the games is heavily chopping, I need to turn it off but still facing some chopping scenes issue.

The graphics wise is damn nice to me compare with orginal edition.

 

Yeah, having just replayed the original Gears PC release a while back. I can easily say... this one is a huge step up visually.
Texture work, animations, particle effects, lighting... it's all miles above the original Gears release.

It does look more in line with Gears 3 now, which, despite what some may cry about... Gears 3 is a great looking game.

 

I'm looking at this picture, and I cant belive what they have done with this game. Textures in original gears of war have this unique metalic look, and lighting is much darker. This remaster looks like game for kids in comparison, plastic textures, washed out look and this green tint all over the place.

 

Ok so after going to hell and back trying to download the 1511 update, i refreshed files, i finally got the game downloaded.

So while im sure someone asked this already, where are the config files and how can i access the game files through the apps folder?

I heard the game has HBAO in it, the game only lists Ambient Occlusion

I bought it, I know, Im a sucker. but I loved this game and I kinda love it now as well...

looks fine and im going to enjoy playing multplayer again...

Well you can disable motion blur, there is even a value called FORCEMOTIONBLUR . set that to false

I agree original got their unique same palette style color but this ultimate edition is supreme in image quality with a modern look games.

It is definitely not a kids look design, no plastic textures, not washed out and no green tint issue.

 

May I know where you seen WpSystem, I can't find.

i moved my game to the H: drive so my wpsystem was on there

 

I can definitely see green tint



Original gears of war was dark and gritty game.

 

They is no tearing issue if not running Full Screen.

The Full Screen is faking Borderless Full Screen.

Wished this get fix soon.

 

The fullscreen is using the Windows 10 render pipeline, there's nothing to fix. It's not the same as bordereless fullscreen in traditional games-

I'd love for someone with both Tomb Raider Steam and Windows 10 store versions to do an actual benchmark if there is any performance loss.

Btw, why isn't the original GOW on steam for a reasonable $4.99? Oh yeah, so that M$ can sell this rehash to fools for $30. PC gamers are a pathetic lot these days.

 

That awkward moment when the original surpasses the remaster in atmosphere...

Original Gears isnt on Steam anymore, it was a GFWL. Its not sold digitally anymore, so literally you HAVE to pirate it.
