Gary Lineker stepped down from BBC duties.

So, the censorship and blind faith in government policy the BBC have been so happy to be bedfellows with for years finally bites one of their important people.
The hypocracy is mind blowing from both sides.
Fellow media employees are going to stand there and tell us that supporting Gary is about free speech and anti-censorship.
The government / BBC, happy to let Gary repeatedly day after day, week after week, make countless political statements live on air supporting their views about Black Lives Matter, taking the knee, LGBT rights, Quatar and Ukraine just to name the obvious ones are now upset because he makes a tweet on his persoanl account disagreeing with government policy.

I don't think the tide is turning here, I think this is more of a one off incident. But the tide will turn in the future as sure as day follows night.
