    Oh yeah I know how you feel..there must be 5 different names now for the NB/FSB/Memory Controller.:3eyes:

    I read somewhere that AMD are back calling the NB the FSB, but don't quote me....

    Like ur avatar btw. Was a huge fan back then.

    sorry to bring this very old thread back but I use AMD Socket AM2/AM3 mobos that have dual channel "unganged" mode by default, which seems to have slightly better overall performance than "ganged" mode.

    I have a Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 R2 board, which has the DCT Mode option in BIOS setup (in the DRAM Configuration section) and is set to Unganged by default.

    many Socket AM2/AM3 based boards from ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte should have the DCT mode Unganged/Ganged BIOS options there.
