Hi all! My 5 year old computer died recently and I was planning to buy a new one. My budget is 600€, 700 tops but can spend something more if you think that's worth it. The pc will be used to play with a 1080p monitor (and maybe 2k in the future) and some developing. I would like to recycle case and psu (even if I doubt I can), I'll post more details later.

Another "must" is that the pc should last about 3/4 years at least (even if upgrades are necessary) so I was thinking about a skylake cpu... if it stays on budget.

I would also hear from you about online shops where to buy.
I live in Europe, just to be sure they'll ship to me xD
Thanks in advance for your time.

Edit: I came up with this build in the past (pre-Skylake):

    - Intel Core i5 4460
    - ASRock H97 Pro4
    - RAM 8 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport or Corsair Vengeance CL9
    - Svga GTX970 4GB Gigabyte GV-N970WF3OC-4GD retail [GV-N970WF3OC-4GD]
    - XFX 550w
    - Cooler Master Elite 335 (recycled - it's a bit small, but I want to hardmod it to save some cash)
    - 1TB Western Digital HDD (recycled)

3/4 years is a long stretch for that budget, unless you don't mind upgrading the GPU at least once during that time period.

I am planning to upgrade my cpu in the future, that's why I was thinking of the new socket.
As for the gpu, I've modified the first post with the build I had in mind (no skylake tho) and I think that should do it (at least in FHD)

I was able to raise my initial budget up to 800€, hope it's enough
