My bad. I meant Halo Combat Evolved. Also an Anniversary edition about 8 years ago, but not enough 'remastering' in scale and scope to interest me.

Add Bioshock 1 to the list because I can't get that garbage ass game to run at all.

Already remastered some 3-4 years ago. Had no problem running it on Win 10. I believe all compatibility issues (ie, sound, controls, etc) were sorted out with the remaster.

I'm reading it's a buggy mess as well as graphically downgraded in some ways so I'd want one done properly if I'm going to pay for it again.

Well I played it and like what they've done with it. I know in some image or video comparisons it did not look much of an upgrade, but in game I thought it was an OK. Had no technical issues with it at all. Sure would like to see a more impressive visual remastering, but looked quite nice in 4k.

Oh yeah. I did actually mean that one. I never played the 2003 version.

Unreal 1998 Remaster on a modern UE would be cool as well.

I don't see much value in remasters unless the game isn't available or doesn't work well on modern systems.

Most of the time I'd rather see the original artwork made by the devs at the time, the remaster is a downgrade in some way, or the improvements aren't really enough to justify buying the game again.

Only good one I can think of is Crash Bandicoot, Black Mesa also seems nice but I haven't played it yet.

'Remasters' can vary from minimal to all out. I prefer the latter. Gameplay mechanics, scenery, atmosphere, graphics, even voice acting and dialogue overhaul. A lot of awesome titles from the past had simplistic voicing and dialogue that are not convincing or 'believable' by todays standards.

Secondly, not sure I would be interested in all games to be remastered. Some games I just got so sick of I dont want to touch them again (Bethesda titles like Elder Scrolls or Fallout series, unless they are brand new titles). Of course in some instances no point in spending too much time, effort, resources on some remasters vs just coming out with an all new game.

That is a fine selection. Original CoD and UO were easily the best CoD games. They would love a remaster. Dragon Age: Origins and ME2 are ridiculous games (not rediculous), but they're still playable just fine.

Although, thinking about it, ME2 with a current refresh would benefit the most. It's already the best RPG of the last 10 years for me, by far. But a modern look would go so far. I kinda want to replay the game, just talking about it.

That game can go die in a fire. Me and friend tried so hard to get past the chopper. And we never did. :D

Turns out I have it in my library, maybe I got it for free? Will give it a try later. Sucks I can't import old saves :(
