Didn't the game bar sometimes lock your FPS to 60 or even 30? I disabled it for that reason.

Windows gui elements temporary lock to V-sync the frame-buffer so they can be displayed since they are directly controlled from the desktop DWM, when you close them or when them disappear the frame rate should be unlocked again. The same behaviour happen if you open the start menu or if you receive system notification. This is an intended behaviour. and you can disable windows apps notification when you are in presentation mode.
I also guess the DVR functionalities needs a fixed time stamp for presentation.

Last time I had the game bar active, I was locked to 30FPS even when it was not visible. Only disabling it in the "XBox" app fixed the issue.

Need to try that again I guess when I'm back on my PC.

Not much difference at all, if anything from what I have noticed, better sli utilization, but just a tad, nothing to get excited about, Nvidia inspector is making all the differences in the world when it comes to forcing sli and or AA, and boy does it help, ALOT!, and that is why its called aka:

    Nvidia's Best Friend: Nvidia IN-SPEC-TOR!

    Sorry for the off topic.

Since upgrading Potplayer 64 bit won't work but 32 does. Also Planetside 2 doesn't work now, tried re-installing the game still don't work this is from steam not tried stand alone.

    Yes.

You can switch your game back to fullscreen after you have enabled it though.

I got it working with Arma3 but only seems to make sp feel a bit smoother, as for mp...nah...bugger all.

I know its early days but im sure most people dont need the dvr mode that comes with it plus most of the time win+G does nothing.

Edit... got ets2 running at 4k(dsr) with all setting maxed and 400% scaling and it looks awesome so its doing something right, although i was testing in the countryside.
