    I wish i could afford on of these, what is it about these pci-e cards that keeps the prices so much higher then normal ssd?

    Solder wires to a 12v point and find a ground, problem solved.

    I do this all the time with SAS HBA adapters. MOST of them need it. Passive cooling is not enough with a nice RAID 5 going....
