    Hi people

After a long time with my old hercules 9700 i went to an Nvidia card again. Yep i now get 80 fps in normal settings in the middle of firefights and i dont have any more fps lag in DX9 mode (like i used to with DX7 mode with the Ati).

The card work fine, however there are a few small details that bug me.

The card that i i bought has this title:

128Mb Gainward PowerPack! Ultra/1960PCX 6600GT (AGP 8x) XP Golden Sample GLH

However when i was installing the card i saw a sticker with Serial number and above the serial was saying the card WAS NOT GS "non GS" which i think stands for Golden sample.

Now the card comes with a guarantee that it runs at 550/1000 but with the gainward tool in it. However at CS source at those speeds i saw parts of the map turning Green. Yes i downclocked after that. through the tools that is and all went ok again.

Also the Lights on the GPU fan are not lit. The never got turned on at all and of cource their illumination doesnt change with the RPM.

Should i RMA the card? Is it something the retailer should know? (The box the card came in had no plastic film around it.)

Other than that in a non formated up to now PC the sound card conflicts with the Network card (??? weird ???), but i guess all will be fixxed once i format it.

I need your opinions, on the lights and on the sticker mentioning the non GS thing.

Thanks for the replies guys. appreciated.

Have contacted them but all i get is promises of them phoning me and telling me what they can do about it. First time i have to go through this and hopefully the last.

whati do not know if it can be possible is if the card is a GLH version but just not a golden sample.

I 'think' The GLH version is like the top run above the golden sample version. I have not seen a stand alone GLH version.

    6600GT Golden Sample = 2.0ns RAM, 540/1050(or 1100)
    6600GT Golden Sample GLH = 1.6ns RAM 540/1200.

i THINK, thats the only real differance, just the ram & speeds. If the card isn't doing the speeds its ment to return it.
