They may look amazing for people who like their bling but those timings aren't that great. My ram can do 3800mhz 16-16-16-38 or 3600mhz with 14-14-14-31 out of the box and that's a 32gb (2x16) Kit.

Well I have a old set of DDR4000 C17 32 Gig Royal Silver and I was getting c15 16 16 1T at 4000mhz on z490 and on my new Ryzen 5950x build they are getting me 3600 c14 15 15 1t timings can do 3900 c15 on Ryzen cant seem to get 4000 stable yet. It seems little picky at 4000 got it to post and run 1 or twice but once I went in and changed something in bios not related to mem I have yet to get 4000 to post again. I know getting 4000/2000 infinity on Ryzen isn't+ easy. So in my option they have some of best looking and best performing memory. But yes it seems timings are not as good as old royal set as they have a 4000 c15 kit.

    Shiny!

But seriously, who buys (allegedly) high performance RAM on looks? Really?

    Have a 2x16 Trident-Z 4000 C19 kit that runs 16-16-16, and an older 2x8 Trident-Z 3600 C16 kit that can run 4500 18-19-19.

These are looking really bling-ky, not my cup of tea though, but a build that is shiny would want to have these :D

They'd be a lot more tacky if the actual ram was bad quality, gotta give it to G.Skill trident Z tho, top 5 ram in world imo.
I'm not a fan of these sticks just sayin at least it's good ram.:D

Very disappointing timings they call them royal elite series leading you think they high end enthusiasts yet don't have 4000 15/16/16/36 my current royal has.

Hopefully this is just beginning and better timings come I can't see 5000mhz @20/30/30/50 doing anything better in gaming over 4000@15 given latency still dominates games and even ddr3 2400mhz cl10 competes with 3600mhz cl16-18(kind of impossible to 100% confirm though now simply due to aging CPU; if only 4790k could support ddr4) but that was with much much slower speeds as speeds get faster and faster you likely need more and more speed diff to make up for increase in latency.

That 5ghz kit might even cause lower 1% low than 4000@15. Its very clear they using cheaper dies at least on everything under 5ghz as 4000 is 16/19/19. Which is a problem given they likely going to try to charge more. Would be nice to see 4800 @ 17/17/17 or 18/18/18 or the 16/19/19 or at least each kit offering best timings @ specific speed.

The question is just how much speed is needed for the major increase latency is needed for me to get an upgrade.

On a side note this reminds me there is going to be a lot of yoyo's downgrading their ram performance when alder lake and Amd ddr5 cpus are released. I always get a good chuckle when I read someone's waiting for alder lake those ddr5 timings are going to be high upon first release. Could be looking at say 5400@cl38-40.

I mean it doesn't matter if one is on a AMD system because it's only feesible to match the infinity fabric to that if the memory anyways.

That is if one wants the lowest latency possible.

I was having a bit of stability issues at 3800mhz and 1900mhz infinity fabric. So went back to 3600 and 1800 on my TRX40 128gb of GSkill trident Z Neo.

I should of been a little faster and got the 2x16 instead of the 4x8 14c kit. before they all sold out. I can run xmp with 2 sticks ram @ 4000 Uncore at 2000 c14 15 15 on on Dark Hero/5950x

Yeah timings are a lot better than what was posted here both the 3600 and 4000 kits are c14 so not much dif from other Royal. I've had a c17 since release and used to run it at 4000 c15 on my z490 build and was running 3600 c14 on my Ryzen build. Still kind of nice to just hit XMP and have c14 @ 4000. I have yet to try tweaking it to see if I can squeeze more out.

It seems DRAM Calculator for Ryzen say c12 is the safe tCL for 3600 and 11 for 3200 for the 2x8 4000 c14 kit, my older DDR4000 Royal was c14. I guess since I cant do 4 sticks at 4000 might as well try C12 I suppose.

I did notice in the CPU/Memory list for Dark they don't have anything over 3600 for 4 sticks but on MSI website for the Godlike they have 4 stick B-Die 2000 listed for a few memory. I will say this when is comes to memory support MSI knows what they are doing. I have a z490 Extreme Gigabyte board and it is so anal about the memory.

I was suppose to have a x570 today but seems it got delayed just wanted to see if memory clock higher
