?

An extra motherboard was shipped to me weeks later(no cost), do I:

  1. Call & inquire about it, possibly resulting in the mobo being returned.

Well a few weeks ago I had a Biostar motherboard replaced. Today out of nowhere I received a brand new, unopened, AM2+ motherboard from Biostar. It's not owed to me, but I did have a motherboard replaced twice in succession, maybe they sent it for my troubles? I wish..... :p My question is do I call & ask about it? Or stick it to the man? :infinity:

Keep it.......theres someone out there that got fckd by that company somewhere. They went through all the right channels and never got satisfaction. Ended up hating Biostar and wishing they could get them back some day.........You are this guys salvation......you are his hero.......stick it to the corperate giants of the world and say "I got you baby!" If not for you for the poor soul who hates Biostar right this minute........que: Star Spangled Banner

They won't appreciate your honesty if you do the " good " thing, so just keep it.

Yes it was sent under my name. It's only a TA790GX 128M. It's basically what I already had replaced twice(TA790GX A2+), but with an extra 64MB of RAM onboard. I can't figure out why they would send me an extra motherboard nearly a month after I had a mine replaced twice. Plus it was new, the accessories & carton had never been opened. One other thing is that the phone call itself would cost me money since they don't have a free number & they are on the otherside of the country. The phone calls & having to pay to ship the original RMA back is approaching the value of the motherboard. But I'm really making excuses on why I should keep it. :)

Same happened to me with eBuyer, a messed up order and a few phonecalls because they forgot to send me my PC Case with my cooler

A few days later I received it, and then a week later , received it again, I said nothing , but never opened it, about 2 weeks later, I got an email saying either pay for it or return it

Its up to you, I would say nothing, if its not noticed in a couple months, its yours

Pretty sure under US law if an item was sent to you in the mail it is yours. A company cannot send something to you then demand payment.

Yeah exactly, if it was their "administrative" mistake to send you a new motherboard for free its their problem not yours, besides they lose nothing by it. So keep it mate, also like someone else said, any company out there is always wining over a customer all the time, by faulty products or bad customer support, so believe me, that is a good luck drop, just keep it :D. Besides, if you already had replaced a product by them twice... damn man, just keep it for the troubles they caused you. You deserve it!

As far as I know, this law also the same in Canada as well, so I guess it's a North American thing.

Personally, I'd keep it unless requested otherwise by Biostar. If it was a really big mistake then they would phone you in no time if they can be bothered. If you spoke to them about it and it was a mistake they'd probably ask for it back instantly and the chances are you wouldn't get 'rewarded' for your honesty.

Keep it, wait for 2-4 weeks, if you have no emails inquiring about it, sell it.

Had the same happen to me with a 3850 from ebay.
