I had the same problem of the opening origin loop - set the launcher to games for windows live/sc2 and the custom launcher to origin.exe :) works!

    Another Update

Ok, this time I deleted my pagefile and maxed it out. So that makes:
    1. Delete the settings folder from Battlefield 3
    2. Uninstalled cat 11.11a drivers. Reboot, clean out any left overs. Reboot and reinstalled Cat 11.11a
    3. Remove pagefile. Reboot and maxed out pagefile.

After doing all this I think I got it fixed. The only difference now is that I have to max out pagefile when I didn't have to before. I'm still testing it but the results so far are impressive!

Yeah, it's the imfamous stair well where it is consistently M320'd/rocket/grenade. Frame rates look good and no noticeable spikes.

Stairwell again. With alot of explosions going on around me. Frame rates are pretty good.

I think I was just res'd in that pic, LOL. But all looks well so far.

    So far so good :D

no worries, I just tried it after spending a few hours trying to fix test drive unlimited 2 crossfire to no avail which i picked up cheap in the steam sale.

was pretty surprised that it worked! and it works better as fullrespect mentioned on 11.10 with no caps for me.

well nearly no caps, 2 of them give me bsod everytime i try and uninstall them and doesnt uninstall in safe mode. Anyway working like pre-patch here now.

This is a before and after I did going from an i5-750 @ 3.8ghz to an i7-2600k @ 4.9ghz (this was all done before the recent patch) Short version: avg. frames went from 96 to 120.

before and after, I did the fraps benchmarks basically during entire multiplayer rounds on the same server full 64 players. I started and stopped the bench during the game to avoid menus etc.

    before, i5-750 @ 3.8, P55-GD80, 8gb ram, 6990+6970, 11.10 + 11.9 cap4, 1080p @ 120hz bf3 on all ultra -EXCEPT MSAAx2 and Post = mid

    cpu @ 99%, gpu's (x3) mid 80's 2 fraps examples below.

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    89237, 915304, 49, 195, 97.494

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    68049, 704266, 45, 202, 96.624

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    After: i7-2600k @ 4.9, P8z68-v PRO, 8gb ram, 6990+6970, 11.10 + 11.9 cap4, 1080p @ 120hz bf3 on all ultra -EXCEPT MSAAx2 and Post = mid

    cpu @ 65%, gpu's (x3) mid to high 90's 1 fraps examples below.

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
    195245, 1611101, 63, 201, 121.187

    Confirmed, it does work.

After several hours of testing yesterday the frame rates have improved overall since I last created this thread. The performance is still not as good as it was with 11.11a before the patch but it's not as bad as it was after the patch. :D

    Exactly.
Did you don't notice what they did to bad company 2 when battlefield 3 beta drivers were released? Bad company 2 FPS almost increased by 100% with BF3 ATI drivers, looks like they unlocked the secret performance glitch in the game, if they had done this at launch of BF BC2 then we wouldn't need to upgrade hardware... haha

Im on 11.11a+11.11cap2, should i change drivers?

If you are still having a problem I suggest that you uninstall the game, uninstall the plugins reboot and then reinstall the game.
