Any ideas when they'll be releasing a driver with the FPS Limiter working?

like old built FXAA, FPS Limiter works only on OpenGL games.. you should enter FPS value in Hex
After it not working at first (missing the f at the start of the hex), I have tested it using Minecraft, Unigine Heaven in OpenGL, Dx9, and Dx11, as well as Skyrim and Mafia 2 just to make sure and it seems to work for Direct X as well. Minecraft stuttered like crazy with it enabled until I also forced Vsync, the others were fine. I enabled it in the global profile if that makes any difference.
Thankyou Nvidia, aslong as we can enter any value between 0-999 for this FPS limiter i will hug them and squeeze them and love them forever and ever.
Can't wait to slap Vsync on and set it to 58 in Crysis 2, i hear rumors that elimnates the input lag. Also setting max FPS via the nvidia driver means no risk of being banned in multiplayer games for using a third party hook.
Also can't wait to set the FPS limit in Battlefield 3 either as it fluctuates between 40-90 on my GTX 570, i would preffer a constant 50, hey you never know this might "accidently" bypass the 90 fps limit in Modern Warfare 3, now if only they could do a Force FOV value aswell, that would piss Activision/IW/Sledgehammer off no end.
You do know you could just use DXTORY which has a built in fps limiter.
Also, you do know that BF3 has its own built in fps limiter as well since the last update...

Works great for me I cap it at 30fps and its plays really really smooth now at Ultra settings 1080p 9 times out of 10 I come top of the scoreboard now
The in-game FPS limiter is crap for me, I type Gametime.maxvariablefps 62 for example, and it drops below 62 (55-58fps) all the time making it stutter like crazy, but if I disable the FPS limiter I can play at 80-120fps all the time. :bang:

Exactly more fps than refresh rate is a WASTE and produces tearing effect.
certain games run a lot smoother with fps higher than 60 even with refresh rate at 60hz and not producing tearing*
get a classic example of counter-strike...cap your fps in 60 and then unlock it
the gameplay is completely different
depends of the game, depends how optimized the game is
some games are very sensitive to a higher fps and others not
*my games barely tears even with fps higher than 60fps
its interesting that my games tears a bit when in certain scenes the game is running at 59fps-60fps and dont tear running at 80fps-200fps

Not exactly, there are many other side effects to take into consideration. Physics, netcode, mousemovement, ...

If you use vsync, while it does limit it to your monitor's refresh rate (60Hz/60fps for example), it does also add input lag which is very annoying specially on first person shooter multiplayers as it makes the mouse's response time a bit slower and that can be the difference between being alive or being dead.
If you just manually limit the fps to 60fps or 62fps without using vsync, you won't introduce input lag. :banana:
