The user who cannot access protected folder is making his problem up then. So do I. Please stop, just stop. You're derailing the answer and still do not understand the difference between UWP and Win32 processes.
Hmm I think some confusion going on. I think what Unwinder is trying to say that it doesn't matter if you can now view and edit files of MS Store games. EXE itself is still UWP process and in that regard acts like it did before when everything was locked down. (Same reason Starfield script extended doesn't work with MS Store version, same reason Nvidia needs separate profiles for every MS Store game).
NO. And we have one more user misunderstanding difference between Win32 and UWP. MS store can distribute applications in both W32 and UWP formats. UWP folders are locked for user, there are no changes in that and there won't be any changes because it fundamentally invalidates the main sandboxing principle of UWP container. Can we please just stop so I don't waste work time on replying to it?
I don't know why you're making this into some kind of argument. You are literally the guy who makes afterburner, I'm not arguing what you said. I agreed with what you said, the exe is locked off, but you can add it via the shift click to rtss when the game is running, I did the same for Starfield. My point was that, not the process, but the whole game folder is no longer locked they used to be, you can see access and move any file but the exe. Its been like this for a while. The point I was making has nothing to do with the process being win32 or uwp. So if the user cannot even open the folder, he has a different issue.
I've been reading that apparently Forza Horizon 5 was a hot mess at launch too and took months to fix. And look where that is now I amazed there hasn't been a day one patch! Lucky me i've got 11 Forza games to play first! It'll be nicely fixed up by then or i'll have a 7080 (Two Forza Horizon 2 games )
OK day 1 report (gamepass peasant so no FOMO edition here) Surprised by performance, expected worse. 4K rez, DLSS quality, all settings ultra, RT off (I think for me personally RT implementation is worthless as I only play hood cam). Stable 60FPS at all times in all racing scenarios and weather conditions. VRAM usage is under control, very nice! My specs are 12700K, 32GB, RTX3080. I guess my CPU helps alot with performance, as I understand people with older Intel or AMD CPUs aren't so lucky in this game. Gameplay and handling is signature Forza. I played every FM so feels right at home. Graphics are OK, 3D trees is a very welcome addition. It only looks ugly when there's that haze/fog effect, but luckily it's not frequent.
Check here, i spot few new bugs too cant rebind few keys in my UK layout keybord and in game 60fps(v-synced) lock me at my native 75 https://support.forzamotorsport.net/hc/en-us/articles/21456702310931-Known-Issues-Forza-Motorsport Other thing is UW support still in 2023 no proper 21:9 aspect ratio on menus and cutscenes, epic fail at Turn10
I still do not have a wheel, probably never buy another one. Played the game with RTX DLSS 4K and looks like 90+FPS always on the track I ran in the rain. From memory it played better than Forza 5 when released.
Hey all, I have a question about the gameplay. Is this a full Sim style or does it have a level of arcade style to it like Forza Horizon 5? I have some Sims like Assetto Corsa but I do like a style that's a tad more forgiving also.
It’s not as forgiving as Horizon as you will need to use your brakes a lot and very early but it’s still pretty forgiving
I know its possible with cheat engine, but to much hardcore way for me https://github.com/Lyall/UltrawidePatches/tree/main/Forza Motorsport (2023) Its here now, but i think it uses cheat engine method as its not safe to use online Working ok, try to do some offline spins and test it out
it caps by itself to 138 in cs 2, other games when i play singleplayer, i usually set fps to 74 in fps games,to 100 in PES, because it s stuttery less than 100
Funnily enough, for me this game is easier than Horizon simply because I already know all those tracks from playing pretty much every racing game ever released.
Well fun didn't last long. I'm now having tarmac disappearing bug every once in a while, it can start happening middle of the race which makes it impossible to finish race with good times. PC version is a disaster. Steam score of 43% is well deserved. https://www.reddit.com/r/forzamotor...nyone_else_having_problems_on_pc_with_tracks/
