Common issue, my bet it's 100% the game as it did not start until patch 4.0~.
Yes, it is the game.
Cuz i ran newer drivers prior to 4.0 and did not have the issue.
Doesn't seem to be the Anit-Cheat either, as it happens with both BattlEye and EasyAntiCheat. Unless both are the cause ^^
(and for the record, i only play the PvE mode)
I play all day no problems I must say so
Latest driver still suffers from this issue.
i went back to 388.13 which is the earliest windows 10 allows i think for 1080ti....fixed 99% of stuttering i was getting with latest drivers 395+
I don't play Fortnite, but 385.69 is the smoothest driver for Watch Dogs 2.Tried it just to see for myself and it's definite.
Witcher 3 and Skyrim SE also, but those run pretty well with latest drivers.
WD2 does also with slight stutter using 398.46, but 385.69 gameplay is smooth no matter what's happening.
"Armored Truck" gameplay is where it's most noticeable, having to evade authorities, all over the city, turning at random corners, not a slowdown.
Newer drivers from 387 give slowdowns especially at night in some areas and certain camera angles.
Never thought it could've been just going from 385 to 387 but it's clear as day.
Win10 1803 latest updates.
Thanks for this thread peaking my curiosity, I'll test other drivers as they come out but only because.
Patch 5.0 fixed the hiccups.
Confirms it was a game issue and not Driver.
Can say that 385.69 is the best driver for Win7/8, all versions above comes with stutters. Tested in BF4 with 150% of resolution scale setting.
397.31 introduced WDDM 2.4, so i could see newer drivers acting weird in Win10 1803. It's interesting that there is stuttering in 387 drivers also, though. Good to know.
And don't be mad at me, my friend, but i thought you should know its "pique" not "peak". So it would be "piquing my curiosity"
