The more i'm looking at it, the more it looks like FF XV with some western sensibility makeover pack on top, which only makes it worse for me personally since i buy japanese games pretty much only to cut off from this very exact thing.
I don't know if you've seen this kind of thing over time, but it's come out that many Japanese games are absolutely wrecked in their translations/localizations. For example Fire Emblem has had scene comparisons where in the Japanese version they're basically saying something entirely different than in the English version. Even Persona has had these kinds of issues. It often seems like a case of the localizer inserting their own views into a product or removing anything that people might find insensitive (which I find terrible, I’d like a conversion as close to ground truth as possible). I agree that Japanese games have been a sort of refuge from western design trends and I like that about them. Just tell me what the original text was as closely as possible lol -- sad state of affairs when some fan translations do a better job than the official localizers.
Translation is literal, localization is the adaptation of concepts to be understood across cultures but yeah. Parties in charge of localizing japanese media on the west have been just taking it as a whole and running away with it in whatever direction they want since a long while.
lol -- yeah, that's basically what I mean. Some people in that industry can't just let the scene exist as it was meant to. If they encounter something in the original script that rubs them the wrong way they just replace it. I get that anime/fan service/whatever isn't to everyone's liking, fair enough, but the aim should be accurately representing the original material imo.
Do you think DLSS2 is going to like, go away? Lol. Nvidia got you good by calling Frame Generation "DLSS3."
The very last segment of this from 17:15: Audio Samples, speaks for itself better then any of his drivel. Wish he had started with that segment tbh. According to DSOGaming, there will be a PC Demo released today (probably alongside the real release). But the IGN review alone was enough to convince me to not get this title. The frack is it with Japanese fiction; " Summoning the protagonist - Who happens to be an orphan - Expects them to solve their issues - They do it begrudgingly ". I'm certain I've heard that cliché at the very least 4 times in recent times.
The release is an hour late. A PC Demo will be awesome to try, when I first saw this game I thought it was an instant buy. EDIT: Demo will be deciding factor and demo released as I typed the message
Girls talks to much and the music is not good but looks great and plays well.Played 20 minutes with demo, will finish demo and make a choice.
Tried the demo, had a few stutters at start, from shader compilation. After exiting the game and loading it again, I had no stutters. Got around 70 fps, with a 6800XT and 5800X3D. With FSR2 on Quality mode. Noticed this is the game that uses the most vram and ram I ever played. Around 14Gb of ram and 12-13Gb of vram.
this looks like current gen bouncer flop each gen SQE seem to have one. i will play the demo when i have access to ps5 again, seeing not home. cant be any worse then VP demo/game can it?
I mean the Steam version, not PS5. The last Marvel game went on sale only a week after it launched. There are under 10,000 players on Steam right now. That's pretty poor.
