Okey... New version of the installer released!

Installer v1.1.2 as of now! Download this new version... It should fix problems with GUID not recognized and drivers not successfully installed...

Remember to let the installer do a proper clean-up and reboot.

Hmm... Should work with that card without any fuzz... You must be doing something wrong, or maybe the old faulty installers screwed it up for you...

Try to install the official drivers, and then use ForceWareUltra installer...

Menion, did you make any other tweaks compared to the very first release?

Yeah... Major overhaul of the tweaks part... It's now split into two profiles: Quality or Performance

Also added some general optimizations and tweaks to both D3D and OGL, but nothing huge...

What do you mean? Just choose one of the profiles and the tweaks will be applied during the installation... If you want me to list them all it would take ages, and to explain how every tweak work will even take longer :)

Can't find your display device... Go to the device manager and look there, is your display device there? (Should show as Video Controller (AGP)) And under what category is it displayed in?

In worst case, try to install original drivers and then run the installer again (without running clean-up this time).

Right got them installed.Just checked in the control panel and its set at performance even though I installed for quality settings.

    Is this right?

Is there any way of knowing if the tweaks have actually been installed properly?

i think the quality fixes are "under the skin" so to speak , tweaks you dont see

coolbits was installed right.........so you would assume the other tweaks have been too , i am noticing better IQ in BF2 but im not sure if thats just my mind playing tricks cos i think it should look better.
Ill be able to tell when i play cod2 as thats my game , ill report back , but so far with BF2 im VERY happy with these :) no real FPS increase but they are more stable , my framerate doesnt "leap" about as much.

EDIT you could go to your forceware ultra folder on c drive and you should have an install log looking something like this.....

    ForceWareUltra Installer log
    Date: 22-4-2006
    Beginning of log
    [12:55:57] Installer initialized
[12:55:57] Checked if driver clean-up has been made. Returned: 1
    [12:55:57] Driver clean-up was skipped.
    [12:55:58] Looking for display device...
    [12:55:59] Found: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0040&SUBSYS_21001682&REV_A1
    [12:55:59] Copying necessary files...
    [12:56:02] Files successfully copied.
    [12:56:02] Deleted OEM drivers.
    [12:56:02] Installing driver...
    [12:56:37] Driver successfully installed.
    [12:56:37] Created uninstaller executable.
[12:56:37] Wrote uninstall information to registry.
    [12:56:37] Enabled driver tweaks
    [12:56:37] Enabled vivid colors
    [12:56:37] Enabled coolbits
    [12:56:37] Enabled Direct Access panel.
    [12:56:37] Cleaning up...
    End of log

    then you'd know ;0)

The control panel settings is not the settings being touched... The users previous control panel settings is what shows :)

There are alot of values the control panel can't change, that's where the installer change. So you can modify all the settings in the control panel to your liking... Of course, quality tweaks is best together with quality settings in the control panel, and vice versa...

I might change this behaviour, so the installer change the values inside the control panel as well...

Alright, so the Quality of the older versions is the quality now, and performance is just pure performance. Do you got any screen to compare Quality and Performance? (Or does anyone notice any difference in quality and/or performance between those two?)
Also, is there a possibility to change between Quality and Performance without having to reinstall drivers? (Maybe only 1 reboot)

I don't think you understand... The control panel settings are very few, and only affects some basic settings such as AA, AF, texture resolutions etc. That's why I left them to be changed by the user instead, because different people have different preferences. Choose what fit you best, the tweaks are there but you can't change them through the control panel.

About screenies, no sorry; I've had no time to test other drivers, so I have nothing to compare with :) hopefully others can do that.

As listed under planned features... I will create a modifier that can be run at anytime... It will be like the installer, but only available to choose tweaks and fixes...

Alright, I see. Thank you for explaining it to me:bigsmile:

BTW, I've read some very good results about 83.37 too, are you planning to release more driverversions in the future?

    //EDIT:
I just tried to install 84.43 1.1.2, but they refuse to install, cant find the deviceID or something.
