    HALO is Direct X.

I really couldn't see Microsoft publishing a game that didn't use Direct X only.

Now, wait a minute... does Riddick use OpenGL? than I can say, seeing Doom3 and riddick, that this API does have the best graphics lately seen in a game.

Ummmm i think that that mac link might be ancient.... (hmm on second thuoght it mentions mac os x.....)

HALO started out life ON MACS (god forbid). I can prolly dig up some really really old vids if y'all want. The Microsoft did what Microsoft does best.....bought it. And its a console game first and formost......XBOX....thus DX. Not OpenGL...the pc version is DX9 (look @ the config files...pretty sure its in there somewhere....look for codepath). The mac version might be ported to OpenGL tho (i couldn't imagine M$ bothering to put in the time & effort to make DX run on MacOS.

The link to the Halo dev's from that apple site (http://www.westlakeinteractive.com/) is copyright 1998/1999 which is about the time when M$ bought halo (in 1999 it was on pc). And LOOK at it....man they haven't been doing much for qutie a while I'd say.

Just my half a cent :)

    EDIT: http://www.macsoftgames.com/products/halo/MacSoft-Halo.html blahblahblah

I have not tested the 71.90, someone can tell me if there is a real
différence with the driver 71.84 official beta? Now in the download site of Nvidia¨!!!!

They have modified many thing for SLI -- the choose of rendering cfg etc...

From the feedback i've read they are supposed to be the same but that could be wrong, the main problem people seem to be having with them is they can't overclock thier SLI setups at all.

Excellent thread macatak, thanks. Now the big question. Since you've tested out all the 7xxx's, which ones do you have a preference for?

Well there ya go folks, i've added the results for 3DMK03, 3DMK05 and AquaMark3, the 75.90 driver certainly owns in the synthetic tests :D
