How can it be? If 91.31 WHQL is just the same as 91.31 Beta but with the Microsoft Stamp? So this means that I should give it a try also? Or the 90 Series Release is near?

Can someone please tell me if I should use this drivers on my 6600GT?? Or fot such an old card this brings nothing new? And if not are the 84.56 the best x64 drivers as they seem to be to me?

Wondering are the Drivers from NZONE itself WHQL or only the ones from Guru3D?

So far after installing the 91.31 drivers, I can now no longer run Doom 3 or Counter-Strike Source.

I have tried a few times to go back to 84.43 (needed for Next Gen mode in Tomb Raider Legend - and worked perfect before installing 91.31)

Now, even the 84.43 driver has the same issues... Guess I'm stuck waiting for the official driver from the Nvidia site, however, I don't see a new driver working any different than the one that did, before I installed 91.31.

By the way, when removing the new and old drivers, I ran driver cleaner pro, rebooted, re-ran driver cleaner, rebooted, then installed a driver.

    No luck so far.

Edit: I also tried running 91.28's which had the same issues.

Well, these are bugs I have experienced with a 7900GT SLI rig:

-Live TV through Media Center 2005 is choppy and then stops. Pure video is used, so I am guessing it's a problem with the new filter method. (They mention in the release notes about better compatability with tuner cards, I bet they F'ed something up instead)

-Playing DVDs through Media Center 2005 causes a small line to appear at the bottom of the screen. It only appears if you display the mouse pop-up menu.

-Tomb Raider Legend and FEAR both have skipping framerate problems.

-Prince of Persia series displays light coronas through walls (Z-buffer Error).

-Forcing Vsync On causes improper settings in many games. (Vsync turns off)

Those were a few glaring issues that I had with the driver.

I bet these issues will probably be resolved by a new driver release.

I hate these new drivers they are horrible for older opengl applications such has Half Life and Counter-Strike.

I player newer games and I still get some issues with both my 7800GTX and 7950 in games such as Oblivion. Discoloration, freezing which I never previously had with my 7800GTX

-Artifacts in CZ, CS: muzzle flash=black poly, nade explosion=black poly, bullets impact sparks=black poly...also my 7950 causes mouse lag in CZ, CS while my 7800GTX does not. No mouse lag is present in other steam apps like HL2 or Source. Fix for mouse lag= Open CS:S app, then CZ/CS at same time....issue is resolved.

-First loading oblivion, reflections ard discolored on swords/church windows/etc. 15-20 seconds after load artifacts not present

    -Missing/Skipped frames in HL2, CS:Source.

For some reason this driver release no longer works for Bejeweled 2. When running in windowed mode, it only displays half the window. I have to manually change the multi GPU rendering mode to single GPU to get it to work. Seems to me the Auto Select for multi GPU mode has changed.

I also can't create a new profile without changing the default profile. The default profile will change to the settings for the new profile.

start a new trend and use an older driver that fits most of your needs
there will never be a perfect driver, nothing here ever changes..new driver, new complaints

    few words:

    - core clock is now lowered in 2d mode (91.31 beta didnt lower this for me)
    - problem with java still there (black screen)
    - SLI message pop up (agp card)
    - dvd, mp4 (hd) plays fine

if they fix that java bug i'll be happy with these. the last official driver which is on nvidia website makes some graphics corruption with tr:legend (demo) while all 91.xx works fine
