If you are getting the SLI alert and you have a single card, just switch to the classic control panel and the problem is gone! It worked for me on Windows XP x64. I know that new features will onky be added to the new control panel and that the old will stay exactly like it is now for ever but the current modern one has nothing that you can't do with the old one so I think that's a good idea to use it instead of the modern one till it gets out of BETA. When a Official Driver is released with the new Contro Panel probably this bug (and others) will be fixed so than you can use the new Control Panel! For now use the old one and have all the benefits of this 91.31 Driver that is the best I have ever got for my 6600GT!

in my case these 91.31 seem like a step backwards in performance compared with the 91.28.

time to go back to the more reliable 84.43

when I watch video's on WMP they are all blurred in pink, went back to the 91.28's until the next best set

Also having problems with odd popups saying something about SLI everytime I restart. And also this tray icon always showing regardless what I choose from CP. Trying these fixes what people have posted here, hope they work...

That only happened to me once. Then they went away.

The clonemode msg happens because you have hooked up the Monitor cable to the second port on your display card making the drivers believe you have 2 monitors hooked up. Hook up your cable to the other port and the optimize wizard works fine.

true, but the very best drivers has always been the BETA rather than official or whql.
said that the 91.31 are great drivers. Oblivion is better
with these than 91.28 and most games are still great.
    i like the new CP.

I don't know if this driver is the cause of it but I just downloaded Purevideo 30day trial thingy to give it a try but I get this curruption when playing a DVD (video still running fine and all with audio but with this curruption you see below)...

Could it be the drivers? I think it might be, I don't know.... but one thing is for sure, WinDVD6 is working perfectly fine and the audio is much better :p
    Any feedback is appreciated.

    :( :( :(

been using the drivers for some time and all was great
and while i was trying to disable AA in the new cp suddenly a bang and computer turned off my psu died. :mad4:
thankfully i have another identical psu brand new in its box i bought like 2 months ago just in case anything happened..luckily my pc is intact
along with my HD and the rest. could've been worse.
i dont overclock and didnt have anything in background not even connected to the net.
mouse froze 1 sec then bang then shutdown.

just bad luck or 91.31 are evil?? perhaps CP? :mad2:

Bad luck...these drivers arn't bad enough to destroy hardware...are they?
I'm been using them and sofar have had no problems

i guess its bad luck. :(
me 2 been using them sofar without problems until had this problem.
im just afraid the drivers or the new cp did something to the vga
card and so did something the psu. the new cp are definetely a bit buggy
and i was ready to get over it cause the drivers are great.
    anyway. :(

I decided to go back to 91.28 after those stupid ballon msgs. Hoenstly, I don't see any difference between the 2 atm. I hope these bugs are fixed with the next release.

I am curious to know why you prefer the new cp over the old one? I havent found a reason to like the new one yet.

the classic cp was and still is the easiest cause we got used to it.
the new cp i like it because it got big icons and it looks nice without
slowing down anything. besides it took me 2 min to get used to it and i love it more than the classic cp.
it remind me of OSX style. id gladly use the new nvidia cp. i just like it. ;)

im working with a few people on a sure fix.. it seems to be an extension overflow caused by opengl 2.0

Drivers wouldn't cause a hardware failure like that.

its more likely that the psu was either cheap quality, or was just a bad one of the lot.
