A bit old, I think these aren't worth trying on non-GX2 cards, because its really an old one :) Too much fixes where in the drivers since 17th of march.

I am going to install now.

I play 99% css anyway so I don't care if they are a little old....

edit: Install went as normal using the modded inf (thanks) and I DID use the setup.exe to install.

CS:S VST went up 6 fps, not much I know but I just keep tract of it. Going in now to see how
    ingame play is.

edit#2: These have to be the most smooth drivers for CS:S that I can remember, I will keep these.

These must be the best I've every had for my PNY 7900 GTX OC. The IQ is excellent and performance seems to be up!

These drivers also add the following new options to the advanced section:

    Threaded Optimization

    OpenGL error reporting

Noticed a new entry in Screen Resolutions (could possibly been there previously):

    Show standard HDTV formats

Also seems the Advanced Timing section may have changed under Screen Resolutions. (not sure since I use PowerStrip)

BTW -- I just used what was in the download and it recognized my card w/o adding any additional inf's. Not sure if one was added.

    Enjoy,
    Pharma

Yours truly is ready and willing to sign that statement of yours... Driver version 87.25 does not help **** for the 7900 GX2.

I tried them and got much worse results. Games aren't better as far as I can tell, and the 3DMark scores are the worst I've ever had. I went back to the 84.66 which do a good job for me.
