Forceware 84.20

Alright, what the hell is going on with CoD2? The transitions of some textures (like sandbags) are HORRIBLE. Only at the worst possible IQ settings do they not "shift" when approaching them. Is anyone else seeing this?

I really need to test this drivers! I'll do it tomorrow.

You guys are really scary 7900 gets out and some are already buying it and most of you have 78xx cards :S I wish I could afford such cards @ such rate. I will only replace my 6600GT in about an year And probably by a mid-range (high) or a high-end (low) card! If I was going to buy a card today I would buy an 7600 GT or an 7800 GS

Is it me, or WDM doesn't work with these drivers ?

 

First pic is fear with 83.12. Second is with 84.20. Big increase

 

Do you see horrible moire and have AF (like me), or is that just the stinking game?

 

All the drivers from the 84-series are great, but one thing still bothers me. Swat 4(maybe all U2-engine based games, I'm not sure) just doesn't seem to work. Wireframe images at start, and menus not showing etc.

And I'm not going back from these, there has to be some other way.

B&W2 still doesn't work for me on any recent drivers..........

I don't really care for the game but my gf likes it, lol.



I will test some other games/benches later. Perhaps with these I can break 6500pts in '06 ;>

Fair very well in WOW and Trackmania nations (that about all I am playing at the moment). 84.12 had issues in WOW (for me anyway) they have now gone.

 

B-E-A-U-T-i-F-U-L I get 11%-17% CPU using on WMP while playing DVD (Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi - 2004 Edition) Does PureVideo accepts other Applications?

 

I just don't have the modd of spending a day testing Drivers So I'll keep this ones till a new official release and/or I get problems with it!! Based on your opinions I'd say that everyone with an 6600GT that posted has increased overall performace (even if it was 0.17 FPS LooL) and all the other I'd say that 80% had increasers so Keeper here

 

I also have problems with the 84 series drivers while playing SWAT 4 + the add-on...

 

Yes it works fine with TheaterTekDVD and Nero Showtime for example

well i can agree FEAR runs much better especially for a driver boost

just for comparison when i had the x1800xl before i returned it (it had a higher 3dmark05 score than my gtx by 500pts)

Hi. I read that this driver adds extra video supports and new features. I think I also read somewhere that this driver introduces new settings and functions. I don't see nothing of the sort in my driver. In fact there is no difference at all in the layout of the menu compared to my older 81.98 driver. Am I missing something here. Am I supposed to have extra video functions or not. Thank you.

 

this driver is just GREAT! smoothest gameplay ever and great IQ too. I haven't run any futuremark bechmark, I play games first. NFSMW never felt so smooth before. dunno what nVidia has been doing lately, but they're doing it right. keep it up... :thumbup:

 

Causes one slight problem with World of Warcraft, when playing Alterac Valley with horde, the flags when they are at "Undecided" (Transfering to horde side etc) they are half shaded and the bottom halfs are black

Only glitch I have seen so far

Another thing is its causeing Mame to "chug" now, 84.12's diden't have that problem

 

=P I think my GPU temp is getting higher summer is coming it's time to start thinking on opening the box and cleaning it Ir just get new drivers that report less temperature just kdg
