    Just tested it with FEAR, age of empires 3, quake 4 and call of duty 2, it ran great, but in the css stress test i got only 64 frames that´s a huge drop, but i will keep these because i have smooth gameplay in every game with the exception of hl2.
    Tomorrow i will feedback nfs most wanted and battlefield 2.

    Won't even install for me. Uninstalled previous ones (81.98), reboot, safe mode, DC Pro, reset, install, reset = no driver installed. I managed to force the install (had to do the installaion twice), but then my comp crashes when entering 3D mode.

    Oh well, back to the 81.98. Hope nVidia will one day release a driver that doesn't give me blinking thingies and a crappy IQ overall... Yeah yeah, wishful thinking.

    Like 83.60 this one allows to change memory clocks without screen blinking! But 83.60 had a ****ty installer and controls so I will use these now.

    My SLI system is out of date. Heard of QUAD SLI, yeah, that killed the magic. Maybe the 7900GTX will be as powerful as 2 normal GTXs and I won't go SLI for another generation.

    My eVGA 7800GT CO SE card is running a lot smoother with these than with the 82.12 or 81.98 drivers released by Nvidia. the 82.12's barely made UT2004 hold 95 FPS, with these it barely budges 100FPS (my Refresh rate is 100Hz). Definatly keepers for me, have not found any bugs yet, but will keep testing....

    Lower 3D05 score with 83.90

    I ran 3dmark 05 just before I unistalled the Zdriver that i got from this site. The score was 8904. Then i did a complete uninstal of it and put in the new 83.90 driver. My score then went to 8462 . I am pretty sure i have all the settings the same for both drivers. Does anyone have any ideas? Here is my comp specs

    opteron 175-dual core
    BFG 7800GTX
    2x1gig dual channel OZC gold
    Asus A8N32 SLI deluxe

    If I am leaving anything out that matters, let me know and I will add it in. Or is it that the Z driver is just a better driver?

    The Z driver was tweaked for performance, you can emulate this somewhat by setting your IQ to high performance in the nvidia control panel, but as this is an untweaked beta the performance has not been lifted, benchies will be lower but the IQ with this driver, imo, is far superior and should be noticable in games.

    These drivers are great with City of Heroes. In the toughest areas my FPS never dropped below 35 FPS. Usually between 45 and 60. With Vsync 60 is my max. LCD display at 1600x1200.

    I got a 5 - 10 FPS improvement over 83.60.

    I am not sure if it's happy story - my previous drivers were 79.11 - for me no big changes so far - I haven't noticed any performance increseases, but no problems too. DOD source little smoother I think, today I will re-check LOTR:BFME because yestarday it seemed to work slower than on 79.11 :(
    I did not check the 3dmarks- maybe today

    ps. maybe I will check 82.12 - any happy user of 6600GT with 82.12 installed?:)

    These gave me an extra 50 points in 3D Mark 2006 over the 82.12. So far seem fine in Quake 4, Far Cry and UT 2004.

    MARK03

    81.89 = 12453 (420/840)
    81.98 = 12433 (415/860)
    83.90 = 12598 (415/860) +165 from 81.98
    83.90 = 12980 (420/880) !!!!!!!!! :speed:

    Need a little more just to crack the 13000 mark.:nerd:

    MARK06 barely any change. 2100-2200.

    Just like any driver release, there is a thread here dedicated to it. Just search the forums to find it.

    But in my experience, the 82.12 were the best I had fro my 6600gt (PCI-E though)

    Try them, see what you think yourself
