Seems that everyone with a 6800 card is loving these drivers. The other card users not so much
my OC sticks with my 7800. havent tried these drivers with my 6800GT yet ...
i love these with my 7800 ! best IQ to date and the performance is great too, they're keepers
My bad, separate sentence. Is not a clause
I'm finding these nice up to now. No probs when I overclock, good IQ in Far Cry, HL2 and BF2 and they also give me my highest bench in 3DMark05, 5706. Keepers for me.
I just installed these (as i now have B&W2) but i kep getting a weird problem, every time i go to the controlpanel/Display Properties/Advanced section, if i try to click onto my graphics card section i get a "Run DLL as an APP" error.
I have tried the 81.82's also and still get this problem, BUT if i run the 78.05's (which i have now) i don't get the problem.
Has anyone else got this problem, or had it and fixed it???.
all games run perfect for me but i just have a little worries about certain things.
1. rivatuner does not pick up the versions of nview.dll, nvshell.dll, and nvwmdcpl.dll
2. In my system event viewer I find errors from "nv" Event ID 106: "Silent Running: Stress test transition: L2 -> L1"
Strange white dots on the walls on some CSS maps, was not like that when I was using 78.05
Havent benched them yet, but have been playing BF2.
Have to say IQ is a lot better than with 77.77, and fps is a good bit higher.
Still get bloody shimmering wjen waliking beside hillsides though, will they ever fix that??
No probs whatsoever, played for 3-4 hours last night.
Nice drivers, will be keeping these.
Running on XP x64 BTW
anyone try the different vendor option??? jw because i might get another 6800gt soon
1) BSOD randomly in CS, DoD, Battlefield2 (thats all I really play)
2) Occasional studdering in above games
2) Locks up my system randomly durring video playback
Nice try, to unstable to justify the performance gain.
yeah i cannot play cmcrea2005 with these drivers any one tried to play this game yet on this driver
Any insider news about when the official 8xxx driver will be out?
Colin McRae 2005 and NFSU 2 both lock up entirely. The stuttering is back (uninstall, safe mode, DC Pro, reinstall, still the same). AF quality is worse. Even with 8x AF, all details max ingame, high quality in the drivers, all texture details checked to maximum in RivaTuner (to confirm they were the same, altough RT doesn't support these drivers), etc., they seem to be one step behind (8x looks like 6x if that even exists...). Unless my eyes are demanding to much of modern games.
Videos play well, so far...
Were the fuxorz is the new control panel? Can't find it anywhere...
Well, guys, 81.84 doesn't really worth now as many issues still bugging especially on the performance slowing down in games after few hours of non-stop gaming! . . . Dual-Core overlaoded ? I guess so as it's still a beta . .
Stick to 81.82 for the moment, it's 99% free of buggies!
I get BSODs in HL2 Deathmatch. Any one with Windows XP SP2 and a dual core CPU having no problems playing this game or other CPU intensive games? I tried both 81.82 and 81.84 drivers. Went back to 78.01.
Do they look more like fireflies? White dots floating around? If that's the case, it could be Valve's doing. Having no problems here with either HL2 or CS:S.
these drivers work for me well (x2 + 7800gt) i get an extra 400 points in 3dmark03, breaking the 18k barrier. Very nice!
I finally got around to installing these on my machine with the 6800 GT. everything seems fine except i get no player shadows in CS:S. in DOD:S they are there ! anyone else have no player shadows in CS:S ?
Shadows are enabled for me. Everything is running fine.
