Don't feed the Troll ;] He's probably too fat already ;)

Drivers doing fine (small texture bugs on my 6800NU in Unreal Warfare engine based games) ... But yes it's a keeper.

It could have been that tangent about EA. EA in general does suck, but, err, you did jump to conclusions........

Well, i've got to get this right.

Downloaded the BF2 Demo, installed the bundled 77.30, works great... but there seems to be a problem with the in-game AA and AF controls, they have no effect whatsoever.
My only consolation is that i'm able to force those settings on the BF2 profile in the Nvidia FW driver properties page itself.
The game is pretty good, a little short of outstanding, though.

Just to finish the "shadow bug" issue with BF2.

You can fix it by moving the "quality bar" (in the graphics driver menu) all the way right, to highest quality.
This will disable the few minor driver optimizations, that causes the hiccups.

The IQ on these drivers are amazing. No temp change on my AGP 6600GT. Although I can't OC as much as the 76.50.

Some games don't like 77.30 - Joint Operations crashed when I changed the resolution. BF2 is laggy (funnily i was forced to use 77.30 when I was installing BF2)- dunno if it is the game or drivers. World of Warcraft performance improved vastly.

dude420, I have the same problem (can't overclock as high). I could push the 77.13's about 10MHz higher for the core. Strange, I thought this driver was simply the 77.13's with a bugfix for BF2 ??

I said this on another 77.30 thread:

don't let the version number fool you...

I don't think these are based on the same driver codebase as the 77.13 drivers.

These seem to me, from telltale graphical artifacts and bugs... that they are from the 71.XX/72.XX codebase.

If they are based on the same code as the 77.13 drivers then somehow they went from having a completely original "artifact signature" to having similar behaviour to the 71/72 series drivers.

    I wanted 1600x1200 - Jumped from 1024 x 768. I got a weird error something about .txt.

And it crashed when I changed the settings. Previous drivers were fine.

With a GF4 I only use the official drivers! I don't think that these drivers would increase performance in such an old card! Do you?? But I'm trying to keep update because in about 2 months I will buy a new system! :p

Ah.....the infamous systemdmp.txt file from Novalogic. It may not be the drivers, it may be that the game is unstable using the "tweaked" settings for BF2.

Be wary of driver versions released for individual games...which may be the reason these won't /may not be signed by MS as WHQL.

I run JO at 1024, and have not tried 1600 yet....seems stable at 1024 though...
