What's it like in games though? That's the important question.

so far ive noticed ut2004 runnin much smoother. im still testin the other games out. but ive noticed whenever i change the image quality setting in nvwiz from quality to high performance my sytem crashes.so i just keep it on high quality. also enabling riva tuner didnt go sown too well ...i lost 300 marks. but im still testin other games out. so far so good

Which driver set did you use before installing these?

I actually liked the 71.80s until I attempted to play Rome:Total War with the new patch. I encountered several graphics problems which were not resolved by attempting several different settings. As a result, I went back to the 71.25s.

Personally I need a driver set that will help to increase my net worth, make me a better person, help me with the women, along with better IQ, and stability. I had hoped that the XG 67.66a set would do this but to no avail.

yes, that's the question, which driver you use before, and have you try others, qlike 71.20 ,71.24 or 67.66 ?so you can really see a difference.

I like the 71.80's but I have an issue with them in HL2.....in the water buggy level some of the docks have purple and black checkerboard instead of the texture:eek:

It looks awful but I am playin' anyway, and so far, I am with the buggy and antlions now and haven't seen it since, so we got a better sewer system that cleaned the pee out of the water and now I have missing textures.....some one call the FBI for me so I can report this missing texture!!:D :D

but yeah, these are the fastest drivers yet, but i am also playing on my new rig and everything is faster!!

I am a tad confused why this thread exists. Just a couple of threads down, there is this thread, which until now has 198 replies which all focus on quality, problems and beneftis of the 71.80. No to curb your enthusiasm, but what's the point?

    hmm....71.80 is stinks big time...

    halo pc is no go

    GPU temp is no go

71.80 is piece of junk. :D

BTW, you need test some games, not benchmark.

    Peace

    Re: Re: Forceware 71.80 ROCKS

We don't play benchmarks, hell their not even fun to watch..........click on run........sit...........wait..........3 more test to go............wow a score.

A increase in a benchmark is only good if the same driver nets a 2 - 5fps in games we play.

I was using 66.72 all this time. before that tried 66.81 then 66.93 for a while. also tried 67.66 and 67.02 but **** u guys are right. my GPU temps sky rocketed from 52 idle to 63 idle.
Thx for that cos i was about to start unscrewing my vidcard.
Well whats the next best choice in terms of great game play. Id prefer the 70 series. Any suggestions?

I might of said this more than once......I found 71.24 the best for my card/system. Besides the fact that this set gives my system the best 3dmark scores, it also has very smooth game play and nice IQ in Halo, FarCry, and Doom3, the three games that I have time to play. I also get very stable overclocks as well.

But if you play HL2 this set may not be the one, as many other people have reported pee like water..........

I dont think to many of the newer drivers are even that good.
I have the Xtreme G 71.20b on mine and they seem to work pretty good. I am not sure I cant tell if my old 67.03 where better though
