Yes, it made no difference. VLC works, though.

right click my computer, advanced system settings, hardware installation tab, device installation settings. select never install driver updates from win update.

that will stop windows installing drivers when you unistall them on win7.

same sheit as with 195 or 196.34 , 191.87 are still faster 2-3fps in most games.

Gonna test them a bit more, but from first impressions they suck.

99.999% of the time you have been lucky. This .1% finally caught up with you. Installing drivers over the top of over drivers always has been and still is a bad idea.

When you switch that off, what if you DO want windows to install a driver for something?

You can install a new driver over the top of the inbuilt W7 ones, just not ontop of ones that download from Windows Update.
flimbo, not being funny, but err turn it back on.

Just installed a wad of games, will go run some benchies on them :)

I am able to reproduce the empty 'System Information - Display' tab by switching between default and OC clock speeds using MSI Afterburner 1.5.0.
    * default clocks: Display tab is filled with info.
    * OC: Display tab is empty.

EDIT: same results when switching speeds using nTune.
    Why NVidia, why? ;)

The crash seems to only happen in the 32 bit version.

LOL, learn how to properly uninstall and reinstall drivers. I had no such trouble when I was gaming with my GTX 275.

Only difference that I have seen compared to most of you guys with all these mysterious issues is that I-

Uninstall drivers from CP and then delete all nvidia folders
Reboot into safe mode and run driver cleaner pro and a registry cleaner
    Reboot and install new drivers.

Been doing this for years and never had a single moments troube using this method.

Why is it you constantly accuse people who have problems of not uninstalling correctly?

The funny thing about all of this is that every now and then I will come across someone who isnt so prideful that they cannot take out 10 minutes of time to see if my method fixes their issue.

After taking my advice I always get a thank you because they find that my method works and fixes whatever issue they were having.

ye they're good but dunno they're slower in L4d2, Dirt2, Gta4, BFBC2.. thats why i kinda like 191.87 more, i use to like 188.43 but 191 seemed faster in those games, even if i use latest nvprofile.xml.

Although ye this new 196.75 adds AO in RE5 and Shift, but in RE5 it takes a huge hit like 40fps lol..

Thats right ill go back to 188.25s because also this driver has
the high water detail FO3 stutter, vantage same score,
games like cod4/waw, crysis seems not so smooth.....

-> Nvidia hate me, my setup and Fallout 3 :wanker:

Hope BC2 runs well on the 188.25s too
