Upgrades HD Audio driver to version 220.127.116.11 (for supported GPUs).
Is GTX 280 supported?
I was almost asking for modded INFs for cards of previous generations, when I found this on the nVidia site:
Laggy and stuttery in avp 3 , just like battlefield 2.. My card hates the entire 19x driver range ! , why i have no idea. Back to any 179 or 188 driver and it's perfect.
This is a complete reinstall and clean of any previous drivers. I remember someone mentioning about the graphical memory management in the drivers changing in the early 19x drivers which has improved performance really well for SLI users and users of cards GTX 275 and up but ****s up the GTX260's non SLI
Everyone of driver version after 186.91 aint working on me.
Desktop is streched over the borders of monitor in every resolution.
Resize desktop wont work. Try to resize any chosed resolution reverts you to back to full hd resolution and every other resolution still overstreched.
Thats total bull**** from Nvidia, had to keep on 186.91 as never ones with never control panel just aint working as described above. Theres several version after that, so what the hell they are doing there !!!
Its absolutely sure that this is my las god damn nvidia card.
As soon us i can get Ati i throw this as long as i can !
Everything id compared to 196.21 WHQL's :
Performance in MW2 is the same.
Performance in Dragon Age - Origins is the same, if anything its even gotten worse with these drivers. There seems to be a slight drop in FPS.
Performance in Team Fortress 2 is the same. Enabling dualcore performance gives stutters on my system.
Performance in World of Warcraft is the same, don't have SLI.
Is it something new or just changed profile AA comp. tags? Can someone post a screenshot?
Is it just those two games, as i have had no problems with the 19x series on my single GTX260.
Might install AVP3 later to find out, just not had the time to play it since i got it.
I honestly can't think of a single driver release for either Nvidia and ATI that wasn't iffy on some level. Each user has different needs and depending on those needs the latest and greatest is hardly ever necessary. I try every single driver I can get my hands on... of course I'm addicted to my kickass pc (yeah I'm sad but I love it lol) and if I don't get my driver fix at least every three weeks I start to suffer severe withdrawl. :nerd:
Hi, get the same crash, cleaning the system of previous drivers does nto seem to fix the crash. How do these drivers even get through QA?
SLI in WOW has been working as of 196.34(you can use EVGA PT to see bothe GPUs are being used), but I gained around 10fps moving to 196.75.
I have been doing lots of /timetest ingame benchmarks today, will post my findings.(WOW only)
My temps are higher with these drivers, idle up 5-6 degrees.
i get the system information crash aswell.
Which OS are you guys using that this crashes? I just checked it and it's working for me with Windows 7 64-bit.
Windows 7 64-bit aswell, i cleaned with driversweeper like i allways do, never had any issues with drivers really before.
EDIT: it seems that after the first crash windows applied some changes for compatability, and its started working now.
My temps are lover with this drivers, idle down 2-3 C*. So again thank You NVidia!
System Info works fine here. Win7 64, GTX260²
Just installed the driver over the 196.34
What about Stalker COP performance?
i just tryed installing these over 196.34 and couldn't duplicate the NVCP/System Informtion crash on Win7 x64.
My temps have went down, but it has also got colder in the house, so not sure how accurate that is.
World Of Warcraft
All test will be 4xMSAA all ingame setting set to High 1920x1200
Windrunner's Overlook, Chrystalsong Forest to ValGarde Port, Howling Fjord usung ingame benchmark /timetest.

The beta driver had already added SLI support but looks like a slight boost in the WHQL one over the BETA.
Run #1 is best avg fps HF to CS, Run #2 is CS to HF with each driver.
10 runs each way, with each driver was used.
Not a bad gain from just a driver update.
For me is about 2-3 FPS more with this drivers For me this drivers are the best!!
