Anyone getting bsods on assassins creed 2 with these drivers?

Anyway... can someone upload NvApps.xml from this set ?

196.86 and 196.21 dont have a sli profile for ac2.

EDIT: Here it is, the NvApps.xml from 196.75.

Assassin's Creed II has been running flawlessly with these drivers for me (shame I can't say the same for the horrid DRM!!!) and I've had no issues or crashes in the 26 hours I've been playing it.

A question... I thought I'd check the new PhysX drivers performance with Batman: Arkham Asylum to see if my framerate had increased. I'm using maximum settings at 1920x1200 with 8xAA and PhysX set to High, V-sync off (for testing only): my results were 22/43/63 for the minimum, average and maximum framerate. Thinking AA was too demanding I dropped it to 4xAA but got the same results (within 1 or 2 fps). I then dropped PhysX to Normal and re-ran with the 8xAA and still got those results. Finally I benchmarked 4xAA with Normal PhysX and still got these same figures! :3eyes:

Is that normal... should I not be getting a higher framerate with PhysX on Normal than High? Ditto for dropping the AA from 8x to 4x?

Why not get the 196.86 drivers? They're every bit as good as anything Nvidia would normally release officially (they're WHQL certified, not as if that actually means jack sh1t).

They didn't work as good on my machine as the .75 did. So as I haven't encountered the fan problem so far, I too will be sticking with the .75 until a new driver is released.

I really wish Nvidia would unlock the performance in Crysis with my card. Gpu usage in-game seems to use only 2/3 my card's potential. 30fps is good, 35-40fps would be better.

Does anyone else feel like there's performance available that Nvidia aren't giving to us?

I honestly think that Crysis is in need of some optimization itself but I'm sure the developers can't be bothered with it. It was one of the first DX10 titles out and was most certainly more or less a learning experience for the developers and not all the code is probably as it should be. I think you'll see evidence of this when Crysis 2 comes out I'm willing to bet it will perform better than Crysis on the same hardware.

Im wondering whats taking them so long for fixed drivers? Its been a week since they pulled these and it was probably something stupid like they forgot to put a / somewhere in the drivers to cause the heat fan issue.:)

Are you sure that one of your GPUs isn't overheating because of the known fan bug? I'm using a manual profile that keeps my temperatures under 70 C at load so the auto fan bug doesn't effect me.

same here i guess it's not overheating due that i use manual fan settings and my temps never go more than 75.
    i guess it driver issue.
