I never bothered with nHancer as I just have not happened to have a serious enough need for it. But knowing this now, I will definitely check it out. Thanks for mentioning this!

I got the same results with every single 195.xx and 196.xx drivers. I just did not want to post any more screenshots. So 188.25 is the best (for my system of course).

i saw someone over in the BC2 game thread state the 196.34's were smoother in BC2..

    Good drivers for me.

IQ seems a bit better but hard to say.

    All games run fine (UT3 / GTA4 / GRID / MW2 and many more)

I have installed them over since windows 98 and never had problem single problem. And that is 100% none error rate and 100s of versions. Only time I did a clean driver wipe was when moved to between ATI and Nvidia cards.

On another question you made. There are 3 versions of Rivatuner and they are AfterBurner, EVGA Precision and Rivatuner. Rivatuner has not been updated in some time but the author has other 2 up to date. Another not by the same person is GPU-Z.

Right, these drivers seemed good to begin with gained a few fps in most games, then i noticed artifacts in furmark, so un-installed them, went back to 196.34's and its been fine, no artifacts or anything, fps isnt quite as high but also these drivers wont hold my gpu overclock either, had to turn the clocks down not to get artifacts.

As per the above two posts, i feel setting any overclocks to their defaults before you install new drivers is more important than doing a driver clean, but i always do both anyway.

Done some more testing and the only problems with these are them switching to 16bit Colour when changing resolution, but i think that is limited to people who use HDTV's, and the video options no longer have numbers, but that was in the last lot of drivers too.

Anyone else can't get their temperatures reported properly by EVGA Precision after this driver update?

Mine reported at like 95c idle and I set the fan to 100% to cool it off but EVEREST reports completely different temps, normal ones. 37c idle with the fan cranked while Precision now reports 51c.

I reinstalled the drivers and that got Precision working again and now it's whack again.

    Anyone else experiencing this?

As I said I already did that and that temporarily fixed things and now the temps report wrong again.

Edit: Reinstalling the Precision tool seems to have fixed it, I figured it would, I just wanted to know if anyone else had this same problem. That would have been the first fix I would have tried but my drivers were not a clean install, they were installed over the previous ones which is why I reinstalled them.

Very similar to that, only with MSI AB. Two others reported temperature anomalies in Precision earlier in this thread incl fan stoppage.

p.s. I dont think it has anything to do with precision or AB, the temps and fan issues may still occur without them.

    almost fixed

I found that if you install 191.07 then install 196.75 the system info works fine just a shame the scaling in Crysis wars I not fixed but 191.07 there is no scaling problem
