I too found NV System Information crashed to desktop.

however, it only did this the 1st time. I did a clean install, with driversweeper.

    no biggie...

Seeing that I was the only one reporting high temps with MSI AB and getting a skeptical response from unwinder, I re-installed these drivers to re-test them and lo and behold, temps are fine now. Cant explain it. Damn ghost in my machine. :p

Dude the main reason your issues have gone away is b/c you cleaned out the previous driver entries in your registry. So yes you need to remove the old drivers..and then clean them out b/c you install the new ones. don't wanna do it? no matter..just trying to be helpful. I used to not do it myself & ran into all these little issues that you've had..now I do and have none. So claim what you will but expect to encounter more.

All in all. Solid driver from what I"ve tested. Vantage is running @ higher fps

mmm some old stuff stopped working with this one: maxpayne(1) and 3dm01 would not run anymore... with the .34b they do...

did give me high vantage and x3terran scores...

This driver is horrible, I had it set my Fan speed to 0 for both of my cards and lucky me I look at my tempertaures to see that it was at 96c on the desktop. I get terrible performance in WIC and the IQ BBC2 took a back seat.

Had a strange temp bug with these drivers, had an idle temp of 60c, with the previous 196.34 the idle temp was 45-50c. Now I swear that high idle temp wasn't evident when I first started using them, but after finishing playing railworks earlier I noticed the temp wouldn't go below 60c, even with the card in low power 2d clocks.

I removed the drivers & re-installed 196.34 & upon booting my gtx 280 was back to idling at 47c.

    Superb drivers.

No more stuttering and improved performance in crysis.
Had to force aa via cp because of overheating gpu using Crysis aa :eek3:
    Never had this issue before!

Everything else runs smooth as silk and no other technical problems like oc or fancontrol...best drivers for my gtx 295 and Win7 64bit so far!
    Thanx Nvidia!

40 degrees sitting idle and superb performance all around. Not a single hitch seen on my system. Keepers for me...big time. This is a great driver!

Clean install with all previous remnants removed.

Win7 64 and see specs to left.

Hey that's exactly what I'd already written earlier but my response was only to correct someone claiming that you should NEVER install drivers over old ones. The minor problems I was having with the control panel were issues with the drivers themselves and occur regardless of whether you do a clean install or not. :p

Anyway... these are great drivers and now I've set my graphics card to default speeds *everything* seems to be working perfectly, including the System Information > Display tab, and I've had absolutely no issues whatsoever with any of the games I've been playing. Everything is 100% stable and I've noticed performance improvements in several games, including DiRT 2 and Mass Effect 2.
