    These numbers don't show the 22% increase you claim :)

    Well, they do if you compare the results on 2 different maps in a different DX version even, which can't surely be the right way to compare the results :p

    I have uploaded this leaked beta dated 11/18/08 for WinXP32. The original desktop INF already included support for all desktop GPUs GF 6-200, so no INF mod needed. However, I have created an English version and removed all the mobile INFs from the orginal International driver. PhysX v8.10.13 not included to decrease the file size...can be downloaded separately from my site: http://nf2.stuff.googlepages.com .

    180.70 WinXP32 English (35.4MB)

    i've ran furmark with all these latest drivers (v1.4) and theres no fps increase at all between them

    with my setup at 1920x1200 max fps 76 min 48 avg 56fps

    (btw i'm on 180.70s).

    not done any gametesting but codwaw ran pretty well with the 180.60's.

    He said 22% performance gain over 180.48.
    He shows benchmarks for 180.70 and 180.60.

    Hello Friends im new to this forum, and i want to know which of these drivers works best for undercover? do Nvidia release any special drivers for undercover like they did to far cry2??

    Another good news regarding these drivers are they have added more than 7 to 8 new opengl extensions for our graphics cards !!!!!!!!!!!

    Well, I've got no real comparsion for you but maybe there is somone who thinks following informations could be usefull or interesting. I received my new GTX 260 today and have used a 8800 GTX since today.

    3DMark06 scores
    (settings: 1680x1050, 2x AA, CPU tests disabled and all other graphictests enabled)

    8800 GTX (overclocked to ~600 MHz core, ~1300 shader, ~1050 mem(I can't remember the exact values)).
    driver-version: 178.13
    SM2: 4599
    SM3: 4158

    GTX 260 (192 stream-proccessors version(old), 602, 1296, 1026))
    driver-version: 180.70
    SM2: 5813
    SM3: 5361

    My personal conclusion: the GTX 260 is about 26% faster than the 8800 GTX even when you ignore the different driver version ?!

    Tested the 180.70 with COD-WaW, Chronicles of Spellborn and UT3. Haven't noticed anything bad, everything looks fine. -> stable for me

    * Max. Framerate: 64.05
    * Min. Framerate: 31.29

    180.44:
    * Average Framerate: 49.80
    * Max. Framerate: 61.79
    * Min. Framerate: 31.30

    180.48:
    * Average Framerate: 50.73

    For those looking only for NFS :undercover

    My advice is to stick with your current drivers b'coz .70 drivers sucks with NFS undercover[performance de-graded worse] but it's good with call of Duty world at war and Frycry2.

    Though i can't tell exactly whether they won't run with your Rig also. B'coz hardware Varies a lot.

    These drivers are slower than the .48 for me and the .60 are even worse .They give BSOD'S.

    I like these drivers a lot. They seem to have improved my FPS in Left 4 Dead on my 7900GT. I'm using the XP 32-bit drivers. :)

    I'm having the same problem in COD: WAW that I had in the 180.48.
    After the narration cutscene, the game crashes, can anyone else confirm this?
    No other problems, Left 4 Dead runs well with this set.
