i think their is something wrong with fallout 3 and these drivers. after like 30 seconds of gameplay my computer shuts down and restarts.

Doing the same for me, just find their 180.42 drivers on the main page. I've heard they help alot.

Ugh, Big BANG in a negative way for me :(

I used Drivercleaner to clean most of the nvidia files, but now it won't install on Vista. It takes 2 seconds finalize installation and then it says: 'The system was not modified'.
Now I'm stuck with nothing, cos even the driver windows installs automatically is removed from my system.

Also on XP the TMforever SLI bug with the lights shining through objects is still present. I feel like they didn't try to fix anything at all :(

Simple answer, You shouldn't if you are happy.

The fact is that sooner or later a game will appear that you do like that the 9800GX2 won't. I've had it happen three times this year and the third time was the last time.

FC2 on the 280 at over 100 FPS with 4x AA. Not between 5-10 FPS with no AA as it was with the 9800GX2 with no support a month down the line.

    Cheers

    E

Is anyone else having a problem with digital vibrance shooting to 100% when adjusting gamma on these drivers?

Yes I noticed that too. So far it's been BIG CRAP for me, although performance is good.

It looks like despite Folding at Home declaration, these drivers do NOT support F@H GPU.
    I had some 178s and my 8800GTS 512 was doing around 5-5.5k PPD, now it's 0.

I'll have to fix it somehow or revert to old drivers. (Vista 64bit SP1 here)

    // EDIT //
Got the latest core & reinstalled drivers again - seems to help...

While your comment about the 80% jump is hilarious i think they are comparing it to the last WHQL approved driver .... to to the leaked ones.

i couldn't agree with you more.

i just purchased my brand new 9800GX2 not even a month ago. i am already starting to regret it. the only reason why i gave up my 8800gt was because the fan was loud, and i saw a potential exponential performance jump from going to the GX2 due to the newegg's recertified GX2 on sale for $219. i saw that price tag and saw some of the benchmarks on review sites, i just couldn't resist.

those of you who DO NOT own a GX2, you will not understand how frustrating it is to constantly trying to figure out why, or what driver that'll somehow maybe salvage the money that you've spent. i am telling you it's a constant stress. i am about to give up. this shows Nvidia's lack of commitment to their own product line and customer.

as of now, i do not know if ATI's 4870X2 support will continue to be as up to date years down the road as it is now. but i can easily see myself switching to the red side sometime in the near future if Nvidia continue their act of neglecting their customer base.

180.48 drivers -> they flat out dont work for my sli profile in windows vista, windows 7 on the other hand (x64) works FINE, what the hell!?
i've reverted back to 180.44 which was the last build i used effectively.
no problems with .44 itself yet so i'll keep my fingers that it doesnt suffer like 42 and 43 did with driver corruption after a few days.
"if it aint broken dont fix it" seems to suit my situation sadly.

that or use windows 7 lol... its actually very stable for a beta.
    hrm... the debate is on.

oh and btw, dont complain about your 9800GX2, i spent 1400$ on 2 8800GTXes + watercooling to manage their absurd heat, then i had to buy a new case to contain it all (150$ more), and now all i see is SLI bugs in everything i do >.>
i want my stereo3D + sli already WHERES MY STEREO3D SLI HRM!?
next card i buy will be dx11 support and i wont SLI ever again (especially not on a single card)

the reason i've always been against X2 boards or even SLI. too many problems.
i cant see the worth in it when only a few games work good on them. people see those benchies and think with their diks instead of their brain
