As has been said multiple times before, those increases are possible improvements since the previous WHQL drivers (178.xx) and NOT since the last beta's...

It even says so in the readme, and I quote:

The following are some examples of improvements measured with Release 180 WHQL drivers vs. Release 178 WHQL drivers (results will vary depending on your GPU, system configuration, and game settings):

Please people, get your facts straight before posting :3eyes:

I really hate having to sort out the good information from the bad...

*edit* d'oh, jumjumski beat me to it :eyes:

I actually logged a fault report with them when the 180.xx Drivers first appeared, I wonder if they actually list the Lotro error in the documentation as a known issue, otherwise I have lost some faith in their reporting system.

These are still disabling Aero automatically in City of Heroes, the issue only seems to exist with any of the 180.xx series.

    Mixed views with this driver.
Dead Space performance is good but AA seems to be less smooth then previously.
Crysis Warhead performance is on par with previous drivers.
Call Of Duty World at War crashes after the narration cutscene. Does anyone else have this problem?

Just finished a round of PR. Pretty good so far...

The drivers aren't bad either :p Haven't noticed any problems with IQ but they seem a lot smoother than my previous set - 180.44

    Hmmm.

    Yep. Definite FAIL.

    It's a Failathon.....:eek3:

I just benched these against my older 178.13 drivers.
I got a fractional increase in Crysis, nutting to write home about

FC2 has already been removed from my system, dead boring game.

Time for a noob question about phys-x. (possible FAIL coming up LOL)

I have a single GTX 260 216, can I use phys-x? how will it benefit fallout 3 which caps at a constant 60 fps?

    Thanks!

So it seems that my fan speed has vanished from GPU-Z with the install of 180.48 drivers. Is there a fix or something?.I downloaded the new GPU-Z but still the same problem,+ i don't want to use rivatuner or EVGA fan control since my card ain't from EVGA.
Another thing that i noticed was in 3dmark06,i had a scene where my FPS dropped below 10 but on my old drivers " 178.13" that scene had a minimum of 30 FPS,even tough my overall final score was a bit higher with this drivers then my old one.Strange huh?

2d clocks still in counterstrike and normal 3d clocks for wc3... wish nvidia added profile options to set what clock level you wanted.

Have some funny issue - not that I care too much, but still - in PhysX properties, it only lets me choose "enable" or "disable", however there is no option for which GPU to use for PhysX - any ideas, why is it so? Help says, when you have multiple GPUs and SLI enabled, it lets you choose, which GPU to be used for PhysX acceleration.

Because I have 2 8800 GTS 512 in SLI, and SLI is working as it should.

    Anyone have similar issue?

BIG PROBLEM WITH THESE DRIVERS AND FALLOUT 3.

Lots of people (including me) are reporting on the official forums that these drivers cause crashes and instability in Fallout 3. I see a few people here have the exact same problem.

Bottom line: If you're mainly playing Fallout 3 these days, STAY AWAY from 180.xx

I was hoping these drivers would fix the problems but they didn't. :(
