Forceware 180.42 is released

because US dont have Far Cry 2 yet..

Just two days ago, I installed the 180.10, but it seems that the 180.42 is quite a bit better. Especially, for FarCry 2, which is going to be released tomorrow. Sweet!

 

I had the same problem and I tried to delete the "setup.exe"-file, which is the setup for fraps and now the install works perfectly. Try that!

 

Can someone please upload a modified INF so that i can use it for PhysX on my 8600GT.

 

Tried em, had to go back to 178.13's as the card wouldn't stay in 3d clocks, shortly after starting a 3d app the card would drop back to 2d clocks & these are the first beta drivers I've had that problem with.

This is on vista 64 ultimate with a gainward gtx 280 using bios 62.00.0E.00.02

Its funny when the drivers extract I get the install start for ATI.

 

If the PhysX is all you want, why don't you download it yourself, extract it, and then install the PhysX driver by itself?

two strange things,
Nvidia changed the extrator? that's new.
And this extrator opens a wintool intalation, and don't open nvidia driver ones.
Btw, if I extract the .exe, i have the driver inside.

Am I with some kind of strange Virus program on my pc? \'o\?

Umm ok the installer installs FRAPS ......wth. It doesnt even install Nvidia drivers????

Ok it's odd but, everytime I extracted with the method Nvidia provided it ended up installing FRAPS.....

So I extracted the file its self and ran the installer that way. It installed the new Physx driver with it also. Strangest experience.

 

I downloaded this to give it a try. I even downloaded from the beta section on nvidias site. It seemed to work ok and even gave me a new option to enable PhysX which is a plus. However I use nvidias system tools to do my overclocking and it has effectively grayed out my fan control. I always run both of my GTX 280's with 100% fan speed since I mostly play Crysis wars. Now I have no option to change that. What strikes me as odd are these are written by Nvidia and I use a Nvidia Nforce 790i chipset with their own system tools. I assumed since everything was by nvidia that these new drivers would work fully with their software. That is just not the case. I can still overclock with the nvidia system tools but not being able to adjust fan speeds is simply unnaceptable. Hopefully when this comes out of beta they will have this issue corrected. THEN I will switch...

 

Hey is it me or does Driver Cleaner Pro take forever to remove everything??

i like the vantage scores. But the game performance is poor...

 

The new unpacker of nvidia is buggy, he's using others zip or exe inside the folder he's downloaded.
****, they don't even know how to make an installer, how about a driver?

One has to wonder if NVidia are really under the gun here... These last few batch of beta drivers (yes, i know there BETA), have a real "Unfinished and hurried" feeling to them...

I have a feeling its going to take many revisions of this 180.xx set before it's on par with the previous series..

And whats with all the wacky installer issues the past 2 weeks??

 

Just installed and played : Crysis,Lost planet,Wicher EE,Sacred 2 (demo) no issues everything is fine...
