Sorry guys, I'd assumed an XP version of 175.12 would be released in tandem w/ the Vista version. It makes sense nv would concentrate only on the Vista version because "Vantage" is Vista-only.

Meanwhile, Station has a WHQL XP version of 174.74 for most GF 8-9 cards: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/nvidia forceware.htm

The 174.74 drivers for XP 32-bit seem to be working fine, but it would be nice to have something 'official' after such a long time...

 

No doubt. I could be wrong, but I thought nv publicly agreed to do a monthly release just like ATI awhile back. Wonder whatever happened with that.

It's basically a simplified Riva w/ a "futuristic" skin. It's got all the basic functions for normal users but also includes the statistics server for advanced users. The main app only uses about 5MB mem and everything works as advertised. Here's a pic for my 78GS:

G15...that must be the logitech keyboard thing. I don't have one of those but you might want to take a look at evga's forum to see if others are having the same problem.

BTW, nv has released a new official WHQL driver v175.51 dated 04/11/2008:

It's for Quadro specifically, but also supports all cards GF 5-9.

If you're someone who thought Riva was too "bloated", then you'll like eVGA's version.

Anyways, xFastest leaked another beta today v175.63 dated 04/25/2008. No INF mod needed; non-mobile INF supports all GF 5-9. I've given it the same treatment as 174.93:
