    @ Poedoom

    I just installed the driver you posted.. and it says 169.06 ?

    The Nvidea contol panel says it and rivatuner, it's an old driver... are you sure you took 174.88 ?

    EDIT: also found out now that i can't uninstall it now in the remove a program in vista.. it's not there.

    Doesn't even install on my Windows Server 2008..

    Just saying "nothing has change in your system" or something at the end of install.. Back to 174.85

    Vista64 Forceware 174.88 inf. Works, I installed fine with this one that I edited.

    All cards included, but Geforce 8800gtx I have renamed to "Geforce 8800GTX Xtreme Edition" so if you want to have another name for it you have to edit the inf again?! :)

    you need a modded .inf. take it from your previous 174.74 driver. it should work. put it inside the driver folder.if you know what im saying. :wanker:

    Yeah, just downloaded .inf posted here for x64, but in nvidia panel it says 169.44. Something is wrong there.

    That will be because the inf will have been taken from those 169 drivers, but don't worry, as you will have the 174.88's installed (as with the drivers being universal, other drivers inf's will also work to install them), all you have to do to get the correct driver number displayed, is to edit the inf in notepad, for example, the 174.53's say this :-

    [Version]
    Signature = "$Windows NT$"
    Provider = %NVIDIA%
    ClassGUID = {4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    Class = Display
    CatalogFile = NV4_DISP.CAT
    DriverVer = 03/11/2008, 6.14.11.7453

    All you have to do is change the bottom line to :-

    DriverVer = 04/11/2008, 6.14.11.7488

    Then re-save it, but theres no point, as thats only a display label, i.e when you go to the device manager, or the system information in the drivers CP, whatever is there is displayed, you could put your name there, and then when you check device manager etc... it will say your driver version is your name. :D
