Seems to be, tried Timeshift and COD4, both seem a little better, not that I had any problems with them in the first place.

I can confirm that this driver is also faster for my current XP system (UT3 and Pro Street run noticeably better). Dunno about Crysis though, haven't tested it much to see the difference :D

@Gottex, happy to hear that..but it may run even better when that mysterious patch will be released ;)

yup going to try it soon. the drivers are downloaded just waiting on the patch like everyone else is. I will monitor my fps closely with the driver I am using now 169.09 drivers and the newest beta one 169.13. I'll give full report. I am in a process of updating my mobo bios so I'll give heads up later. and settings will be:

1920X1200 resolution, 8XAA with supersampling,16XAF,all high settings in game, and shadow resolution changed from 1024 to 1536 in one of the shadow config files. Tilll then.

what, shouldn't your rig run this game just fine ?? do you have some strange stutters? try disableing vertex size optimization, it worked a bit for me, not eliminated but was much better, i also read an article, they where testing this game on newer sistems c2d and gf8, and there was strange stutter with all c2d up to e6600 2.4ghz, they where gone with everything above that, same with amd.

As for drivers finally Nvidia, i've been waiting for new drivers!!!

lol u need a gpu to support 2.1, and all drivers are supporting it anyway, for example 6series only support 2.0.

but why would you need it anyway, because none game uses it yet.

this is more like it. i have installed both the new ms hotfix and these drivers and before on the crysis gpu benchmark is was getting 20fps (tweak cvars to ultra high) and am now getting 29 fps.
i can even play with 2x aa and still feels smooth.

its getting there slowly but surely

Just i use drivers with support opengl 2.1 because i play to a mmo based in openGL.
And when i use some driver 2.0 there is a big diference between shadows and lights:) that i get with driver openGl 2.1 support: D

PS: settings ingame says : openGL version: 2.1.1 with last whql driver i use

Where did these files come from?, as they don't show up on Nvidia's beta driver page, they only show 169.12 Vista and 169.09 XP still. (Edit) the UK, Never mind.

wow i have just installed them and even though i do not own SLi i have gained 120 points in 3dmark06 and around 2-3fps more in Crysis which is a healthy increase for sure, i will be trying a few other games and report if any problem arise, so far keepers!

    edit : windowsxp sp2 32bit not vista.
