    Hmmm, this might be interesting to try, I just read about the 100.87 drivers on the other thread. Nvidia really need to release new drivers for XP.

    I might give these a shot. I just got off 94.20s that gave me a weird install bug.

    I'll post a quick "changelog" of sorts right now.

    I edited the inf file so it would install on my 8800gtx. Seem to work fine. Will try some gaming now just to se if any bsodĀ“s or other problems will occur.. post back soon.

    after copying the G73 lines from the 87.08s .inf and accepting the CRC error for the .inf, these are installed.

    1. New CP only (non selectable CP)
    2. OCing - Disabled (grayed out) at first, but can be enabled using nVTray

    Not sure about SLi though, I don't have the system. =/

    this is what i did to get support for my 8800 gtx
    in the nv4_disp.inf i added the following lines from the the official 97.92 inf

    [NVIDIA.Mfg]
    %NVIDIA_G80.DEV_0191.1% = nv4_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0191
    %NVIDIA_G84.DEV_0400.1% = nv4_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0400
    %NVIDIA_G84.DEV_0402.1% = nv4_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0402
    %NVIDIA_G86.DEV_0421.1% = nv4_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0421
    %NVIDIA_Win2KDualView% = nvDual, DISPLAY\nvWin2kDualView
    %NVIDIA_MultiView% = nvDual, DISPLAY\nvMultiView

    ; Localizable Strings
    NVIDIA = "NVIDIA"
    NVIDIA_G80.DEV_0191.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX"
    NVIDIA_G84.DEV_0400.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS"
    NVIDIA_G84.DEV_0402.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT"
    NVIDIA_G86.DEV_0421.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT"
    NVIDIA_Win2KDualView = "NVIDIA Dualview"
    NVIDIA_MultiView = "NVIDIA Multiview"

    if u want a non evga install routine u have to copy paste the following files from an older driver archive

    data1.cab
    data1.hdr
    data2.cab
    engine32.cab
    layout.bin
    nvudisp.exe
    setup.*

    CS Source runs great, fog bug still present.
    bf2 runs good
    guildwars also runs good
    nvstretch working properly so far
    IQ good
    still testing.

    no show stopping bugs so far, seems like a good driver.
    One small bug, cant use any scaling except nvstretch been this way for awhile.

    Im running xp x86, on 8800gtx

    Vegas runs smooth.
    BF2 runs smooth.
    Gonna give DA a shot here in a little bit.

    I'm comparing these to the 87.08s, btw.

    Forget abut stupid modded INF files. You don't need them. Just use Device manager and perform manual install. If you want to have proper name, just rename the cards in INF file to reflect real hardware (in case of GF 8800 only drivers).
