Good for them, and good for the consumers too.

    Didn't AMD go bankrupt in 2019? :)

This means the market thinks their future is bright. Intel is still multiples larger with multiples higher revenues and profits but obviously the market doesn't think Intel is on the right path.

Intel is in a really tough position. For one thing, their GPUs are just a bit too immature, so that doesn't instill much confidence. While I personally never really had a problem with Intel's GPUs for the past several years, a lot of people seem to absolutely hate them, and those impressions will hold on for a while.
Intel to my recollection has ditched their SSD division, which I don't think was such a good idea because their modern products were good.
Intel also doesn't have a response to AMD's value proposition with many-core systems. Copying the chiplet design would backfire, not just because of the way they poked fun of it, but because it would remove the edge Intel has in latency.
Lastly, the E cores they made weren't as well-received as they ought to have been, since they're not cheap, they're not all that efficient, and it caused some things to break.

Intel will get out of all this eventually, but I'm not at all surprised how AMD and Nvidia are leaving them in the dust.

No but they were very close before Dr Lisa took and Ryzen 1 happened.

By the time it releases it will compete with 13900k.

Yes at some uber ram voltage not usable for casual tweaker :)

I've seen some on OC.net who try to do some silly tweaks to extreme, then whine why it degrades or overheats or what ever.. and what's worse they give tips to clueless newbs and suggest them to use those high voltages.. they did the same for me when I asked about SA and IO2 voltage.

Speaking of latency, see my ultra low 35ns now, and someone said I can forget anything bellow 40-42ns, yes maybe in glitched aida that adds powerdown 4ns, instead of lowering for 4ns like here in intel latency memory checker :D

Good for AMD. Glad they're finding success. Market needs competition.

Yes you need watercooling ;) Up to 1,55v aircooling on DDR5 isn't a problem, but you need active aircooling :)
Alder Lake is running low VccSA, so no problem with degrading. Even on 7000mhz+ c30
    Run newest Aida64?

My 10900k has been "abused" with 1,55v VccSA since launch, and hasn't degraded yet. Running 4700c17 1t...

When it comes to actual assets i do not think there is a contest , i mean if say they release zen 4 and with some magic reason turns up to be bulldozer 2 this capitalisation will disappear overnight no ? Anyway hope both intel and amd keep being neck to neck for decades to come competition is great !

Exceptional news. Its been a long time coming, finally AMD got their act together in their CPU department. And they finally have brought out excellent GPU's. We just need them continue this progress.

Hopefully Intel and Nvidia also follow suite, more so Intel. I love me some competition.

Yeah, with Intel joining in the GPU market, things ought to get somewhat interesting, and hopefully, keep AMD and nVidia on their toes. Competition is good, I'm kinda tired after years of Intel's dominance (and stagnation) on the CPU front, as well as nVidia's walled-garden approach with their proprietary tech on the GPU front. I long for the time when AA and other image enhancements tech simply work like the good old days. No special hardware needed....

Yeah. I think Intel will have most of that sorted in 2024. They have gathered some of the best engineers over the last year and are dumping tons of capital at the process side. From a stock perspective I suspect margins will not be great until 2025-2026 as all that capex they are laying down to play catch up is hurting margins.
