Ive got a bit of a problem. I went for a sliding tackle and twisted my ankle during it. However its not my ankle that hurts, its my shin, just below the knee. Everytime i move my leg or put my weight on it i get really bad sharp pain in that area. Also when i move my toes i get a bit of a pain in my foot, but not that bad. I will go to doctors tomorrow, but was wondering if any guru doctors can give and advice.

When i get that pain in the shin, its really bad, also i feel that something is going on in my knee, even without moving my leg, i feel that something is moving in the knee if it makes sense lol

it's 21/12/2012 after.. we're all going to get infected :D

as for your leg, i think it's just the soreness from what happened, theoretically the Shin is one of the toughest bones in the body so you can't break it easily, it's going heal by itself, but i'd recommend you get it checked by a professional just in case, generally the pain comes from the ligaments, not the bone itself.

and there's something called "referral" where the damage is actually in your knee but the pain you feel is referred to another part of your body, eg. your shin, it fools you into thinking it's your shin but it's your knee.

give it a couple of days, if no improvement, go to to an Orthopedic.. or use a big Axe and cut your leg :D it's your choice.

lol in this case just use ice packs (or hot packs) try to alternate, 20 to 30 minutes each and see what happens.

or if you're willing to spend a couple of bucks, you can try Voltaren non-steroidal emugel, works wonders, this really helped me countless times whether it was backpain, injury or whatever, it really works.

I've dealt with this sort of thing in Fallout, I think the solution was:

    Bullet to the brain.

Just below the knee is ligament. I suggest you've probably hyper-extended your knee joint in the tackle.

RICE it and wait to see if it settles. If you can bare your weight and walk its probably going to be ok. Further serious damage could be done if you train to hard to early.

Yea i can walk, been limping around all day :) Bending knee is a problem today tho. Its not the actually knee hurts, but that muscle below it along the shin bone. It doesnt hurt if i touch it only when i do certain moves.

oh well, another excuse to sit on my ass and play games for the whole weekend :)
