Hey! I just realized that I have a Socket 370 Celeron 800MHz sitting in my room, and the only thing the set needs is a HDD and RAM. I just ordered RAM for it and I was wondering how well it would Fold? Again I say that it is a 800 MHz Celeron, Socket 370, 100 MHz FSB. Does anybody know how well it would do?..

    Thanks,
    CrossFire.

Call it 40ppd (points per day) on a average WU.

    Every little helps.

My 950er Celeron needs nearly one week for a little WU so 40ppd is what I get, too.

But I have it undervolted (and only one really silent fan on it) - works very well. You only need to make sure it's 200% stable!

Perhaps you should do more reasearch before you randomly open up a ageing thread. Folding on celeron doesnt really make much difference depending on generation e.g. Celeron D to Pentium 4 with a prescott core. There would be 10-30 PPD Difference, i would hardly use that metaphor you used to describe it.

    Anyway, more cpus the better!

    I'm going to be rude...

    ... STFU!!

Celeron folds well; it's extremely energy effecient. :)

to be honest yh a celeron can fold and yh the more processors the better but come on folding on a celeron is almost not worth it. i remember my celeron D starting up windows on it, was close to not worth it, let alone folding.

^ Im getting 120PPD from my celeron D, thats 30 less than a p4. And dont get me started on DG Cores.

    so....meh!.

Put a sock in it,if you cant take factual information you may as well sod off.

Belive me after writing the folding at home faq now a sticky I have picked up a lot of information and benchmarks using F@H.
