I uninstalld FAH a few months ago.
I had a passkey while running earlier this year.
I just started running FAH again. Will I need to get another passkey or will my old one automatically pick up.

It will pick up where you left off if using same passkey and username, i have been using mine on and off for years!

Working perfectly fine here.

 

hmmm can't seem to load it in either Opera or Edge it times out for me heck I can't even ping or tracert it either

Seems to work fine if I turn on the VPN in Opera but fails if it's turned off might have to talk to my ISP and find out why they're blocking the site

 

Super late to the whole Folding@Home thing, but I'm here now!

Joined the team and folding already, took about 2min to set up, way easier than when I first looked into it years and years ago, gonna recommend my friends join up too considering how easy and painless it is to set up now, they both running the new intel i9 9900k's and RTX 2080Ti's so if I can get em to join in should be a bunch more points and research going on!

COVID-19 projects do not support CPU since they're Core22 units which are OpenCL and GPU only. Check the amount of points you're generating using CPU folding. I'm not sure if there are any CPU folding projects that are infeasible on GPU, but if there aren't, I don't think CPU folding is worth it anymore.

 

Think I read that there are some covid projects for the CPU now, but my gpu is also working hard
But seems many people have started up now, often idle because can't find projects to work on

IF you're only concern is points, then no, CPU folding isn't really worth it. If your concern is helping as much as possible, CPU folding is still worthwhile.....

 

Hi all...just got back into folding after a long break now that I'm stuck at home...lifelong gamer (Guild Wars 2 currently). Happy to join guru3d's team to fight this nasty, nasty virus. Got my and my wife's computers folding pretty much 24/7. I've got a gen1 core i7 with an nVidia GTX970, and my wife has a core i7 gen7 laptop with a GTX mobile 1060. Both machines are running W10. Other than some crankiness in getting WUs (I understand they are pushing them out as fast as they can), are there any settings other than normal install defaults that I should know about? Thanks! Since I've started I've got 322,000 points and will keep on keepin' on.

 

I'm psyched to see recent work units for the coronavirus (I swear I had one recently for my CPU), but my folding client (both CPU and GPU) sits quiet for many hours (days?) between work assignments, saying the server is empty. It could be related to the issue here. I get the same with power set to Medium or Full. Did they shift all work units to coronavirus processing, and everyone is crushing them faster than they can dole them out?
