    Update

    Hello,

I will not be online much for the next few weeks. I am working more now at the moment but before long I will be back and more active.

My Athlon 64 will not be folding anymore -- I am selling it to build my new PC sooner.

However, my Pentium 4 will still be crunching away!

When I return I will have my new PC... The specs are a secret! ;)

But, however, You will see the performance boost in my Folding@Home stats for: "CrossFire"

When I get my new computer built, I will post a thread in the Folding@Home section with specs, benchmarks, and pictures before any other thread. :)

    See you soon,
    CrossFire

Well, I've got the beta GPU client running. I haven't folded in years, but I think it's working quite fast! My first WU is at 3300/5000, after only about 1.5 hours! Is this speedy?

Keep in mind I haven't tinkered with anything yet...still new to this. I noticed my OVERALL cpu usage bounces between 30-37%, seems like it balances everything out over the four cores fairly evenly.

On a side note, using RivaTuner with the graphs, my 2900xt stays in 2D mode...513mhz on the core instead of 743mhz. Temperatures on my graphics card are barely over what they idle at. Am I missing something?

Seems fine, just let it run and see what happens?

Also try running the smp client as well ;)

    So, just an update...

It took 2hours and 1 minute to complete my first WU! Not too shabby, I remember my old P2 266mhz took days for a WU!

And as for the SMP client...I will be putting together a Folding/Storage PC with some spare parts I got laying around. I'll have my e6400 crunching soon as well! :)

Yup, unfortunately... I also have enough of folding 2 SMPs at once- seem to be REALLY overstressing the PC, I had some serious problems to get both to work simultaneously recently and the deadline was too short because of my stability issues... I am considering getting the nForce 790i SLI Ultra mainboard and some super-fast DDR3 memory but this costs quite a lot.... Gonna get some cooling first, I guess (finally).
Congrats anyway though. It's only a pity that we overtook each other when the other one had technical issues...

Standford has had some problems with the folding stats being updated.

    Should be ok now.

    Warning!
WU: 3062 is causing "long 1-4 interactions" then EUE, I've had two in a row now. I googled the issue and it seems lots of people are having issues with 3062. It's cut my ppd in half :(

    I want the 26xx units back :(

    I miss my 4.2k ppd.

Well, got the SMP client running now too! Should a single SMP client use 100% of my quad? I can run it alongside the GPU2 client, doesn't seem to affect it too much.

Can someone clarify this for me...the Affinity Changer. Will it help running the GPU2 and SMP client? Or is it more just for running multiple cpu clients?

Yeah the smp will use all of it and the gpu should be ok running with it just make you've set them machine ID's for each.

Affinity changer will only help the smp client, and also set the gpu clients priority up one - above the smp one for best results.

5 EUEs later i've finally got a non-3062 unit! Now working on 2653 and the other client is working on 3065.

I just joined the team! I have 2 PCs folding. One is the one in my profile using the smp client using 4 cores @ 80% and my second machine which is an Athlon XP 2800+ overclocked to 2.5 GHz. I've got 1 unit completed so far hehe.
