I tested it on a YouTube HD video, not much less CPU usage with 10.1 but my 4850 goes up to 13% usage compared to 0% on 10.0. Video looks smoother too.

It broke vidoes for me , it uses some kind of strange post-processing , i have no idea how to fix it, reinstalling back to 10.0 didn't help :O

OK got it back to normal.

Screen blinking and card going 3D mode when watching movie on youtube it self is stupid and makes this feature usless.

Not only that ,movies get some strange preprocessing effect, everything gets blurred

If you read the release notes, it asks you to uninstall flash 10 first, then install 10.1 (probably with a restart for good measure).

It also requires ATI 9.11 or higher, and "the latest nvidia drivers on the nvidia website".

I would be very interested in getting this to work on my media center. I have a pretty powerful GPU and not so much on the CPU.

    hmm, around the same !!
the only diference is its stuttering less...
but there is no difference to before....in cpu usage....

i wished it worked, cause firefox 3.5 had this flash bug..every flash thing caused cpu usage up 60% and more...thats why i hoped this migth fixed it, but it doesnt..
i also had the new 195.55 driver installed cause it sayed in the release notes:

    New in Version 195.55

    * Adds GPU-acceleration for smoother online HD videos with the new Adobe Flash 10.1 beta. Learn more here.

but nothing changed...so i´ll wait for another release of adobe flash..

greetz out to guru cumunity :)

@Phalkon30 --- edit..: im not stupid, and i read notes..i did uninstall the old flash before...;)

Seems to work if you uninstall flash then install the .exe then the activex flash from the adobe labs

BetA13, not trying to insult your intelligence, just trying to help people out that are having problems.

Glad to see it's working Funky Doodle, did your CPU usage go down?

Would be great if would be possible to set it somehow so it wouldn't trigger 3D mode, screen blinking is horrible.

acceleration seems to work with the 9.11 catalysts (playback is smoother due to less dropped frames) but the image quality is worse than without acceleration and looks blocky
