I have ordered two of Asus Fury Strix for my main rig. I'm giving them another chance after drivers BS for the pass 7 months. AMD has shown that they have respect for the customer, 15.7 drivers has huge improvement on 290x even trading blows with GTX 980 and beating 780ti which Nvidia has abandon it. Plus I love new tech and support any company that embrace it which is AMD. Hopefully they keep this up and won't make the same mistakes like the BS drivers for the pass 7 months. PS: AMD should fire Huddy PR, He knows **** about AMD cards and talk BS which only gives AMD a bad rep.
GTX780TI was never beaten by 290x, but by nvidia themselves. Kepler was downgraded beyond redemption, or maybe it was always weak and AMD took their time to make optimized drivers. You be good with fury, while 980ti is better now, one year from now your card will walk over it ezpz.
Respect for the customers? 290X? They lock the posiblity we had in the past months to enable 4K VSR in 290(X) using modded drivers. I don't see there is any respect on this. Maybe Series 7000 customers should be happy because they get official support for VSR after 7 months using modded drivers.
Well they didn't gimped 290x in 15.7 drivers as most of us suspected, instead they optimize it and re-enable VSR, after we have voice out. Still better then Green side that gives no fu*ks to consumers despite the outcry and still treat them as idiots.
You are right in this: They don't gimped 290(X) in a universal driver. They gimped 290(X) performance in relation to 390(X) when they released a series 300 only better performing driver to allow web reviews to compare rebranded 390(X) vs 290(X) with less performing driver (15.6) on launch. They don't re-enable anything related to 290(X) VSR in fact they LOCKED modded drivers access to the 4K VSR we were using for months with modded drivers on 290(X). I've first hand experience on this (290X crossfire owner), maybe you didn't know that as Nvidia user.
I love how idiots are quick to use "you are Nvidia user therefore don't know anything because I own AMD cards I have right to say, you don't" Just because you saw 980 on my rig profile. I didn't insult you in any part of my reply, i only said that is possible you didn't know all the facts as you said " they optimize it and re-enable VSR" They don't re-enable ANYTHING related to 290(X) VSR. In fact they LOCKED the possibility to have access to 4K VSR using modded drivers. If you don't know about what you are talking about is not my problem but your lack of education is normally a problem for you in a moderated forum.
lol, a little for topic. Fury Pro's are nowhere in sight in SA. Fury X has just arrived. Think i'm gonna get that. The extra price is worth it in my opinion. Can't wait.

Thanks to chime on this. Here in Europe i don't see the Fury (non-X) anywhere too. If it was avalaible at a similar or lower price than 980 it could be a good option.
