Remember This is With the Crysis Demo, No doubt the CES Version, so it will get better, but one thing i did not know is PHys X is Supported.??? Also This is On VISTA!!!!! With the Buggy Drivers Not EVen 100.54!!! This game is going to run hela Good!!! /Quote Crysis (HQ, no AA/AF, Phys On)--1024x768------1280x1024----2560x1600 Max FPS ----------------------- 68.5---------- 51.2----------4.8 Min FPS ----------------------- 33.4-----------17.3----------0.2 Avg FPS------------------------43.9-----------36.8----------1.7 The first DX10 Crysis benchmarks has appeared and it seems that a pair GeForce 8800GTX in SLI is just doing average here. The system hardware to run a Crysis demo benchmarks are pretty top notch and just the demo is huge at 2.88GB. Powered by Intel Core 2 Quad QX6700 on ASUS Striker Extreme with 4GB DDR2-800 memories, 2 x 150GB WD Raptor in RAID 0, BFG PhysX card and running on Windows Vista w/ Forceware 100.30 drivers. Using FRAPs and a full 5 mins run inside the game with High Quality settings, Phys on, noAA/AF, the max, min and average FPS are recorded. These benchmarks provide just a glimpse of what's coming and we shall wait for the actual game and more finalized drivers to paint a more accurate picture. End Quote/ Source vr-zone.com
Do u guys think the mediocre performance is because of: a) Crysis isn't finished yet b) Crysis is going to be overly demanding c) Windows Vista drivers are lacking d) Other or e) A combination of any of the above
f) Do you think using Raid 0 made any difference in FPS? Those are pretty good framerates until you get to 2560x1600.
a) Crysis isn't finished yet--------------------Yes b) Crysis is going to be overly demanding------Yes c) Windows Vista drivers are lacking-----------Yes d) Other or----------------------------------It Was a Demo For CES with 100.30 Drivers...not the newer ones that are out e) A combination of any of the above----------Yes f) Raid 0 Will Defintly Increase Min FPS, From The View Distance And loading of the terain.
Frame rates are AWEFUL!!! wtf SLI 8800GTX so weak? i would expect single 8800GTX to run the game on highest with 4X+16XAF at least... however it may not show the real power of 8800GTX since driver support aren't very good at that moment, game hasn't finished therefore not optimized enough... we will really know when crysis will come probably after July 2007 or August 2007.
awwww i hope i can run this at 12x10 its one of the reasons i upgraded but i doont like things that run at 17 fps
It’s probably too early to judge on frame rates but, for an 8800 GTX SLI setup that sucks. Makes me wonder if Dx10 performance will push us back to using max res of 1280x1024 at this rate. So much for LCD native resolution
those are crappy framrates. no AA/AF...WTF!! whats the point of that. who plays a game without AA...i never will. i cant live without AA i guess those benchmarks dont mean anything tough, since the game isn't even optimised yet and there arn't even Vista DX10 nvidia drivers. only time will tell how much of a performance increase will be gained with DX10, and i can't wait to find out EDIT: cryis will NOT support the Physx card. it was confirmed my crytek. i will try to find a link
Hay dude. There is no SLI function in 100.30 even 100.54.Ha ha ha that tester so stupids. That make the fps look craps. But in Physic mode on that not bad at all.
hmm stupid question prob but I can't find the answer lol.. someone tell me if Vista Ultimate comes with DX10 installed already on it or is this later to come?? I can't remember seeing this anywhere if I did then I'm just too tired to really sit and think about it.. so please answer that question
for one, 100.30 doesnt work in SLI, number two, these are the 1st drivers for windows vista, number three the game isnt optimised for retail release obviously, number four, THE DRIVERS ARE HALF A$$.
pffff, fake. it will be heavy on the cpu just like all the games being rolled out from the begginning of 2007
Or maybe the 8 series sucks for DX10. After all, everyone's assuming they're good based on their DX9 performance. GeForce FX cards sucked for DX9, but were powerful for DX8 games.
there's nothing about a DX10 Crysis benchmark even on www.crysis-online.com (the official Crysis fansite). The only site to come up with this is www.vr-zone.com. I'm sorry to say, but vr-zone is becoming more and more like The Inquirer. Like some of you pointed out, there isn't any SLI support in 100.30, so how the hell did they get a 8800GTX SLI setup running? Then again, i'm just being pessimistic about this benchmark.
