would that affect the card's gaming performance?
No, I think, its for Open Gl programs aka workstation
Im uploade to megaupload
d3 engine games would benefit then.
Actually, no games will benefit from this, since pro OpenGL is precision oriented.
Only pro 3d apps for animation and CAD will see improvements in wireframe speeds.
If you are a gamer, don't bother and stick to regular Catalysts.
If those links above are too slow, I also uploaded them to rapidshare:
Can this driver be used on XP x64?
As far as I can tell, it's 32 bit only.
can somebody confirm that it works, and post some specviewperf results?
it would be interesting to see how much faster a modded hd2900 is compared to a modded hd2600
If you have 2600XT, grab these drivers instead:
and if you have 2600Pro, use these:
guess vista 64 will be last ... since the driver was rewritten from the ground up...
thats good news, something to look forward, just what exactly i do need :Radeon 2900XT and the drivers ?or the script as in previous Radeon 1900?
Since the script is not available (yet), just use the drivers.
sapphire 2600xt to 5600
Hi guys .
First of all congratulations for your efforts.
I just install the drivers and the ccc and as far i can tell there is no much improvement ( not twice for sure ) from the catalyst 7.9.
The program is a cad and i am trying to notice some changes through an interior 3d walk with the "fraps" program.
The system is new, and the vga so i didn't have the time to look more, so i am on catalyst and 2600xt now watching frames.
What CAD program are you talking about?
Also, what card are you using?
This drivers are for 2600 Pro, 2600XT and 2900XT only. You shouldn't use them on your X800GTO card.
oh sorry man .
post last night and i was too tired to change the system.
its autocad 2008 the system is new and now its now shown on the left.
Well, you will not see much improvement on AutoCAD since it's code is archaic and mainly 2D drafting oriented.
This is so exciting. Can't wait to get my hands on an hd2900xt...
64 bit os drivers?
Will the mod work on the 1gb diamond card?
Hopefully, they will appear sooner than later. There shouldn't be much of a problem since 64 bit code is very similar to 32 bit code from a reverse engineering point of view.
There is no reason why it should not work. The amount of memory is totally irrelevant to the driver code itself.
Sorry to ask a question in this thread....
Is there still have softmod for ATI X1600 pro to FireGL V5200 in vista...?
