Leaked Crytek documents hint at Crysis Next, Crysis VR, Ryse Next & Robinson 2
According to the leaked documents, Crytek has been working on Crysis Next, Crysis VR, the next Ryse game, Robinson: The Journey 2 and a mobile version of Hunt.
These leaked documents also confirm the existence of Crysis Remastered, as well as the fact that it was outsourced to an external team.
Crysis Next was a battle-royale game. As its description reads.
“Crysis Next is a free to play battle-royale game where 100s of players collide in fast paced combat. Visual customization, adaptive nanosuit powers, and visually spectacular combat in an immersive world creates the ultimate live streaming experience.
The Crysis franchise has all the features to make a battle royale stand out. The gameplay. The style and setting. High production value.”
crytek is too late to the battle royale train, its already derailed into the side of a mountain.
Next could mean, for Next-gen aka Remake or True next-gen: Better sound, RT, SSD etc.
Some History (we need now ATI one )
Activision significantly reduces the free disk-space requirements for COD: Black Ops Cold War!
According to the specs, PC gamers would need 175GB for installing the MP and SP modes, and 250GB for gaming in 4K/Ray Tracing.
However, Treyarch has revised and significantly reduced these free hard-disk space requirements.
According to the new specs, PC gamers will now need 82GB for installing both SP and MP modes.
The MP mode will weigh around 35GB, and the SP Mode will weigh around 47GB.
In order to play on Ultra settings in 4K with Ray Tracing, PC gamers will now need 125GB of free hard-disk space.
This basically means that Treyarch has reduced the size of the game by 50%. From what we know, this Ultra preset will also include a HD Texture Pack.
thats what happens when you deduplicate content.
For Old gen Consoles -> CPU is too weak to de-crunch assets on fly.... uhhh
only old gen consoles have 250GB install
