It's been a while. My last build was for a Windows 7 based system (see my details). Now 7 years later and I'm back at it. Here's what I'm getting: ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi) Z390 G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB DDR4 4000 Intel Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz The rest will be what's left of my Win7 build which is all still running fine. I might try out one of those closed system CPU coolers if necessary. Which brings me to a question.... I have a Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E CPU dual cooling tower which says it supports 1151 sockets along with many others on AMD and Intel. But that was 7 years ago. I'm wondering if the 1151 reference was to a different socket back then as compared to the current LGA 1151 on the i7-9700K. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks
Thanks for all the views (better than nothing). I've decided to give an AIO cpu cooler a try this time out. Should be fun!
