    Hey guys...

    greetings from germany ;)

    yeaah..i know-first post- and he needs help,what else ;)

i have a PNY gtx470 which is getting hot and lowd in 2d with dual-monitoring.
is it possible to flash the bios that way, the card falls in p-state p13?
    or a low p3?
lower voltage, much lower clocks in 2d than my actual p3 @ 405/810/1674?
and back to high-power when its needed in games..
what do you think, what setup isnt dangerous for the card?

and thank you a lot in advice..

btw..the bios was saved as .zip with 7-zip.

Thx, don't worry, temps are in check now with the new Zalman VF3000F and I only run OC'ed profiles when I'm playing games where the extra fps matters.

    Hallo, willkommen bei Guru3d ;)

I dont know if i can change it this way u want..But i will give it a try.. So i know i can give u lower voltages in low 3d mode and 2d mode..Clocks change i dont know if this is working in the low power states, but i will try..Do u testet if ur card is stable @ what volts in what state? so i can set it..

Or better, tell me what voltages u have in all the different states..Use afterburner or Nvidia inspector for this..After that i know whats the normal voltages on each state and i can start to make u some test bios with different voltages to try out..

greetz Beta (im also from Germany..nahh i live there right now, but im from the states, hehe..)

    Grüße, Beta

    wie witzig :)

i hope my english isnt that embarrassing...:nerd:
actually, my gtx runs on 0,875v on p12 state, while single-monitoring.
    51mhz clock/101mhz shader/135mhz mem
in this mode, the pny just climb the 40°C with 40% of fan speed. astonishing!

in p3,while dual-monitoring, ive just tested 0,9v without failures.
in 3d,fallout 3 collapses (maybe its the games fault, ill teste it right now)

my hearing and my nerves are up to you :)

if you need further information to help me,dont hesitate to ask :)

looking forward to read from you, soon

    @ Beta13

What is it about your very special Fermi BIOS editor that makes it better than whats available to the public? I just gotta know after all of the post of not asking! :)

@Beta, I didn't flash this BIOS yet. Now i'm waiting for X48-T2RS mobo. I needed this bios for "death run" with my gigabyte 1GB windforce. It's good... But i bricked it, and i can't flash it on my EP35C-DS3R which sucks, cause I can't do good OC on it. I'll try on DFI. I hope that it's only the mobo compatibility problem. And thanks now I know which clocks i need to search in nibitor. Ur soft is better... But no public, you're doing good job in there and u helped me to.

    Greetings form Poland, Himer

    hmm,

why is it better? Lets say its different..
I think its not so complicatet than nibitor, and u can set Fan settings, Min and Max..

its easyer to work with the Fermi Bios editor, its not so overloaded i think..here are some screens that u see what i mean..

    FBE:

    Nibitor:

in nibitor theres the Fan stuff missing.
And the voltages tab and clocks tab is kinda confused..

but i guess this is just my opinion, everyone gotta decide by himself i guess ;)

Now that I look at it it does seem simple compared to Nibitor, I may not need to re-flash my new 480 card, not with a 905MHz core clock and memory at 4200MHz @ 1.125v!

@BetA13, here are some screens that my 460 is now unbricked:

    Now temps:

Works fine, and very quiet, and i also recommend to change this stock thermal paste. I used STG-2 for mine. Unfortunely I can't use Liquid Ultra, because the base of the cooler is made of aluminium. OC your mem not high, I heard that some GB's were broken cause of too high mem clock.

My fan on Gigabyte GTX 645 (GV-N465UD-1GI) is not manually or automatically regulated. Stuck at same speed all times. Can you please look at fan settings?
